- The other day's post about the show retaining all of its cast made me think.. Is it possible that Sudhanshu threats to quit if his character isn't given the 'hero' treatment? Because otherwise it makes no sense that the writers who wrote such relatable marital abuse totally forgot that it happened. That when they were on a consistent path to make Vanraj fall & Anu rise, Vanraj got a seat at the high table overnight. That they impress us by making Anuj recognise domestic violence against men & animals too.. Have Nandini & Kavya literally use the word whitewash.. But simultaneously turn 'Anupamaa' into 'The Vanraj Shah Show'.
- Anu calling Vanraj out.. It was done so awkwardly. Kudos to them for listening to the audience. But it doesn't undo that Anu literally said things like Mere sath aisa kuch nahi hua to herself & Mr. Shah ghatiya nahi hain to Anuj. Is it just me, or would anyone else have liked it to be a lesson for Anu too? Show us that she isn't mahaan & all-knowing all the freakin time. That like most people, Anu doesn't recognise emotional abuse as domestic violence. So Samar (or Devika) makes her realise that her experience isn't all that different from Malvika afterall. This way she could have finally recognised the abuse that Samar went through too instead of constantly negating the poor guy's trauma. Anu ko hamesha self sufficient perfect devi banaana zaroori hai kya? Jaha banaane chahie, like in her career, uss storyline ko toh mazaak bana ke rakh dia hai 🤪
