I won't say much since this is Imlie but that ML has the most punchable face on ITV currently. Every time he gives one of his sad, depressive, yearning expressions I want to fork my own eyeballs out. So glad for the dipping ratings, there is still some sensibility left in the ITV audience.

Back to Imlie, I was surprised at how the transformed this show. Thanks to GM leaving, this show was given new life. GM had given the PH the heads up so they asked him to stick around till they establish a new story that can run without him. GM did what was best for his career but inadvertently he did what was best for Imlie's future as well. Lets face it, if GM hadn't left then AdiLie with all that polygamist history would still be endgame, we would not be here, and the ratings would have continued to steadily drop. Aryan wouldn't have factored anywhere in this story. GM has my blessings.

Okay, so I haven't caught up in the thread, but I have a really weird theory that I will randomly share:

- Imlie said something way back whenmthat really stuck with me. Narmada was insisting that Aryan drive Imlie to work after they ran into her at the mandir. Imlie said "He drives like he's spiriting away his girlfriend from the mandir (to elope)" or something like that. I always felt that line was a bit weird.

- I can't shake this weird weird feeling that Imlie will resolve to marry Aditya once again.

- For Imlie, her devotion to Aditya, is about her beliefs rather than love. So if certain events were to lead to her to believe that going back to Aditya was the "right" thing to do, she'd do it.

- If Imlie were to find out that Aditya was prepared to kick Malini out. That he sent her that text message. That Aryan deleted that message. What would she do? 🧐

- I know what I want her to do if she got another text message from Aditya. But I know instead Imlie will arrive at the mandir screaming Baabuuusaahiiib 😂.

- Aryan will follow, as he always does. To save her from herself this time.

- I think that all of this spearing, koni maro-ing, pinching, and just general all around interference in Aryan's life, is a way to justify a bit of reciprocal force from Aru further down the line. He will show up at the mandir and tear shit apart if it meant keeping Imlie from going back to Aditya. We have seen small previews of the lengths to which he is prepared to go.

- I do believe that Aryan will take her away by hook, crook, force, you name it. He might even forcibly marry her 😬 if that is what it takes. He may hide his very genuine feelings for her, and instead reveal his revenge and threaten to hurt the T's. All empty threats, but she won't know.

- Underneath it all: Aryan won't be marrying for revenge, but for love. And Imlie won't be sad because of T's or Aditya, but because she feels betrayed by the one she really loves, Aryan.

- I hate this for Imlie, and for Aryan as well. But I feel like her "BS-ing" has some deeper implications. Her and Aditya are not done yet. And Malini is no deterrent to Imlie. The person that needs to be deterred and then subsequently go off the deep end, is Aditya. Imlie's marriage to Aryan specifically, will be that deterrent for Aditya.

See, honestly we have to accept AryLie isn't going to be easy. No matter how many grievances I have against Aditya as a character, it can't be diluted that Imlie has faced many a turbulent phases in her life with him. When no one knew about them, both of them have managed and handled, even though there wasn't equity in the equation. Both of them had each other's back be it in lies, secrets, danger. So after going through 1 year of tremendous pressure exacting scenarios, when the pressure is released off you, you still feel the ache in your nerves. It cannot be let go easily. Many people don't even let go. But thanks to Aditya, he will make it easier for Imlie to choose actually. And she has just come out of a relationship, people will remind her, she will dawdle. I get it.

What has me surprised is Aryan has created a space for himself despite all that. Her subconscious leans towards him believing he will be there for. She is trying to dismiss it, but it will just grow from there. Hence, despite all the lame attempts at drawing in Babusaheb everywhere, I still feel she will only be the one to take the initiative in expressing her feelings for Aryan, and make it clear what standing he has in her life.

I think that dance sequence just proves what great artists they are and just how good they are at their craft. It’s too bad that the medium they’ve got currently (ITV) is not going to make full use of it in the long term.

Like you said - it’s amazing how in character they are and just in the moment.

And then after the dance - how they’re just lost in each other. Imlie doesn’t even realize they’re in a room full of other people. Her tear falls, it surprises him and he loosens his grip, but she doesn’t let go. It’s like she’s startled into the present and that’s when she walks away.

Like brilliantly done.

And the editing and filming of the dance sequence - seamless. They just float and glide and not one moment looks strained. It’s watching two proper professionals dancing and emoting. Like in some other ITV serials you’ll have dances and there are moments where a lift will come in and the way it’s cut you know it wasn’t done in one take, you can see the effort of the move on the guy’s face etc. Nothing like that here. Just perfectly in character.

Totally agree! Especially the bold. They are so so good and every time I watch it sinks in even more. They make it look so effortless. Talent!
