If she still loved Adi or wanted to get back with him, she would not have started falling for Aryan. At a subconscious level, she has already moved miles away from Aditya (we already saw how comfortable and close she was with Aryan when intoxicated, BS was nowhere on her mind. She just wanted her two mins of comfort, of being cared for. She's never had that before from anyone but Aryan – despite his strict boss/mentor role. Only when she woke up did she realise she was supposed to be thinking of BS because she was shocked at the intimacy she had just experienced with Aryan. She wanted something to shake her out of that moment and so she picked the first thing that's always on her mind – Babusaheb.

And all our rationalization about self-respect doesn't work here because it's exactly what Aryan had told her at the bridge when he was talking about pain and grief – Accha khaasa insaan khudko doshi maanne lagta hain. Imlie knows she's not responsible for Adi's choices and actions, but subconsciously, Adi's words and her own prior actions (like letting Malini stay at T house after everything) are sufficient to create that self doubt which makes her feel responsible for the distance between AdiLie and want to fix things. Running behind Adi is Imlie trying to fix things – Adi's faith and trust in her and not their relationship.

So letting go of Adi consciously will take time. A lot of time. So she will not let her BS jaap go till she has completely fallen for Aryan and accepted it. It won't stop till she has to choose between Aditya and Aryan, not once, but every so often and till she consciously starts choosing Aryan over Aditya, every single time. That will only happen after she's accepted that Aryan matters to her so much more than Aditya or what Aditya thinks and feels. And while we clearly see Aryan falling fast and hard, Imlie is not far behind. Her feelings are just eclipsed by everything that she had with Aditya all until this point.

You are correct and that's why I feel Aryan should let her be. If she's meant to be she will find a way to be around Aryan else no. Simple. This clingy stuff looks quite eeww.

Pretty sure it's the rangeela show with the cheating hubby that has been whitewashed. 🤢 No show has pissed me off more than that one.

Too bad the flavour of the current ITV season is cheating husbands / polygamy. Glad Imlie took a different direction and is rectifying this storyline.

I am surprised Aryan of all people didn't call her a moron in that moment. She really didn't get it. Oh absolutely. The whole of it was nonsense, everyone putting her on a pedestal after that ridiculousness. Like, wait, are you kidding me right now?! Plus, like literally no one cared about his pain. Woman literally just attacked the guy, and if you notice during the fight, she’s the one constantly throwing herself at him, fighting him, his every move is to get away from her, to get to his sister. But like, Imlie saved the day and everyone is like fine and dandy. What about Aryan, what about his pain - both physical and emotional! Dude literally watched his BIL burn alive, and he was helpless and held back from doing anything to save him. He just had to witness a very similar situation again. Results were different but still, he didn’t know it would turn out that way. And nothing - does he not have trauma?!? There’s so much wrong with the events around this whole thing, it’s beyond frustrating.
