Why did her zid, her mood affect him, he definitely cared for her.
Her ignoring him, being distant always affected him.
He just didn't want to accept & that reluctance or that determination to not feel anything for anyone vanished when he saw her in danger during that chandelier incident. His fear of losing him triggered & broke his walls of resistance.
Question toh pehle se hi karne laga tha woh apni feelings bas courage nahi tha to accept, darr broke that barrier.

Yes he always took pride in being practical someone who didn't waver due to emotions but the truth was ki he was always intrigued by her and liked her caring for him.

Woh hamesha nonchalant attitude dikha ke coverup kar deta ki yeh ladki kar kya raahi hain I have no idea , but the truth was woh monami sa kahi zyada pehla affect hona Laaga tha.

Something shifted b/w them after the hospital track and then Karan couldnt go back to the old status quo of "cadet-trainer"

I too really did not appreciate and like karan following her and felt he should leave her alone and let her be for a while and later go talk cause she needed time to process jo ussa mil nahi paa raha tha.
People here are often a little too harsh in criticizing monami.
I mean yaar every body reacts differently and not everybody can be ok theekh hain I'm back to normal within a day after a rejection .
People take time . Her feeling ki karan is just not accepting ki he loves her woh uska perspective tha hum main sa kisi ko uss waqt karan pyaar main nahi Laaga but monami ko laaaga so she should have that freedom to be able to process and realise ki maybe she was wrong.
Yaar bichaari Haase toh problem , roye toh problem, ignore kaare toh problem 😂😂😂 bichari jiyaa ki naahi.

Kuch bhi kaare woh ussa criticism hi milta hain.😂😂
Karan hona ka naate mujha bohot bhura lagta hain.🥺🥺
