He didn't lost interest in the show but the channel pressurised him to add trp elements in show as it was lacking behind in trp race as compared to its rival kumkum bhagya and that too at super prime time 9 pm. And it's also true that when he added trp masala lile pyscho lover , unnecessary problem in wedding , fl being wonder women the trp crossed above 2 which earlier was only in range of 1.6 to 1.8.

After that sickand again tried to bring it original charm and logical storyline post marriage but till then the channel decided to off air in short notice. So sickand didn't got time to showcase what he wanted and for this reason only he was mighty enraged. So the ending of khkt was also brutally messed up
