I do not recall any star couples who managed to give hits after marriage. Except maybe Amitabh and Jaya in Sholay and K3G.

Ajay and Kajol in Tanhaji.

But yeah, very rare.

Bebo and Saif have a line of flops together.

Ajay and Kajol had string of flops after marriage. Tanhaji is the only recent film with a real life married couple to become a hit.

I have less idea about older star couples like Dharam Hema, Rishi Neetu, Shammi Kapoor Geeta Bali...

I think Rishi and Neetu also failed in all films except cameo in JTHJ. Do Dooni Chaar and Besharam are flops.

Tanhaji cannot even be given as an example..it was not Raju Chacha..point being it wasn't centered around them and their story like the flops they have given earlier..Kajol barely had a role..it was not sold as an Ajay-Kajol starrer..neither was it one..It was Ajay's solo show all the way along with Saif to an extent

This is valid. Same for Sholay in which Amitabh and Jaya have a platonic relation onscreen, very few scenes together and most of the film is about Jai, Veeru, Thakur, Basanti and not about Jai and Radha love story.

When they played man and wife in Silsila it flopped. And their role in K3G is supporting, not centered on them.

I feel audience loses interest in married couples because they are seen together everywhere anyway and are probably too comfortable with each other, hence lack the sexual tension or romance factor that audience wants to see.

I have rarely heard of married star couples giving hits or big blockbusters as much as the hype around so called big power couples.

Gully Boy had Alia and Simmba had Rohit Shetty. It wasn't just Ranveer bringing in the numbers and both movies still got an opening in the range of 20 Crores. Like I said, that's his limit!

Ranveer is also an overrated actor. But 83 being a good or bad movie or Ranveer being a good or bad actor is my personal opinion. What is an undeniable fact is that Ranveer is NOT a Superstar!

Bringing in Brahmastra or Ranbir won't change the fate of 83. We'll see what happens when that movie releases, and world won't end even if Brahmastra Flops so there's no such thing as last laugh Lmao.

The budget of Brahmastra is 700 crore rupees.I hope it succeeds for the sake of the movie industry.

There is no point in bringing Brahmastra in a discussion when the topic is about 83.

The only reason anyone would bring it here is because they can't handle the failure of 83 and want to divert the attention to Ranbir and his movie which is yet to release. That is trolling.

No you were already talking about Brahmastra in your post with some other member. So I just wanted to discuss about its prospects with you because I have observed in a few topics that you a good knowledge about movie business. I didn't bring it up here. I loved its motion teaser.
