So I have a few questions which crossed in my mind with the current uproar with Angad's character and his sudden turn into negativity. In the past we've discussed every character from every angle, and tried to understand the best and worst of them. However in Angad's case, things have been entirely different, and somehow all the red flags were pushed under the rug.
Was audience that desperate for a good guy that they couldn't notice very obvious red flags? And makers did throw the hints. It is not at all sudden. It was decided from beginning, what Angad's character would be. I'll get to that in a minute. My point is as much as there is lack of logic, the makers have stuck to the story and characters they'd imagined.
Jasmine, who was a bubbly cheery naive girl, was also someone who struggled with Tejo's perfection, and her descent into a cartoonish villain was understandable.
Fateh, there are better in depth analysis about him, but he had several shades, both good and bad, and we saw the best of both of them.
Tejo, probably the only straight forward character. Also the most boring.
In Angad's case, from the very beginning he's too good. Almost like Tejo, but also way sharper than her. Him being a psychopath actually makes perfect sense, because psychopaths are very good at convincing other people. They are charismatic people who can easily charm anyone. Hell even Tejo needs some time to make people fall for her... but he's a little too good. Still, that can be excused.
Next, one of the earliest red flags was, his empathy and connection towards Fateh. That was before airport, before Fateh started to grow, and it was absolutely impossible to like him. Yet, angad did not have this problem. IT was like he understood, 'in love' you do despicable stuff and it's all good and fine. For me, I thought that he might have cheated too, and so understands Fateh.
Well the glaring red flag comes swishing like superman's cape... Accident's POV. As stupid and illogical makers are, why would they give him a first person POV of accident? Esp when it's so elaborate that he is in the driver's seat, looking at a woman lovingly, and then there's the accident. That was very clever piece of writing. And it's very early on, so NOBODY can logically say that Angad's turnaround was all of a sudden. combine that with how he refused to show his license, and everything is just so clear, at least partially, Angad has a dark secret, he's not who he seems.
Now, the entire story is definitely something more, my prediction, he had an affair with his bhabhi, and Riya is his own daughter. We'll find out soon.
But I want to ask the people who think it's outta nowhere, how did you excuse all these flags? Because we've constantly picked characters apart to see how they will behave. Fateh's behavior was being put under microscope before he cheated. Tejo's current behavior predicts that she WILL fall for Jasmine's manipulations again. So how come Angad's behavior was excused?
