But I love doing analysis and give my not so important interpretations😆So that we can enjoy little bit of chitchatting and our forum activity kuch increase ho(if all of you contribute obviously)
So here I am...
As you can see the subject title of my topic so I am going to talk about Meet Hooda,the unconventional female lead of itv.😁
In my post Meet Hooda= Meety
I want to analyse her becoz she is not that simple goody bubbly dreamy FL of itv with big dreams in eyes which we normally met on our tv screens most of the time.
She is a traumatized child,matured before age.
So why is she the way she is.....
When she appears on our tv screen she appears too selfless,giver by nature and as MeetA says pure.
Is it possible to be like this,yes it is and she has the reasons to be like this.
If we analyze her childhood,we came to know about a middle class family set up in Haryana where different family members consists....
Meety's Dadi:-An elderly lady who is head of the family and of patriarichal mindset.
And patriarichal mindset doesn't mean a person is bad at heart,it just means to consider male gender more capable than female.
She loves her DIL,her first grandchild who is a girl and his son.
Anubha Hooda:- Meety's mother,a homely lady who
Is typical Indian lady of middle age who doesn't differentiate between boy and girl but her sanskaar doesn't allow her to desrespect or openly deny views of her MIL.
She gives opinions but in subtle ways.
Ashok Hooda:-The flashbacks shows he is a man of principles,honor,at the same time selfless,kind and brave.
He is a police officer who does his work with honesty.
Manushi Hooda:-A beautiful self cenetered,money loving elder sister doted upon by her grandmother and had a toxic selfishness.
So I explained all these family dynamics becoz as I believe that how a person grew up to be,how his or her nature will depend upon many factors like surroundings,environment,upbringing,experience,age, society,understanding,age,gender.
Now in meety's case,when she born she was 2nd daughter in the family and secondly she had a twin brother who was still born how much it seems funny that her dadi is acceptable to Manushi but not her I've seen with my own eyes that many people had no ptoblem with first child to be a girl but second girl child and they lose it,so when meety born as normal dadi she already had developed loving bond with her first grandchild Manushi and expected second to be a boy so the fact that 2nd one is girl was enough for her to turn bitter but due to meety's bad luck add on misery of her twin being a boy but born dead added to that bitterness,she was no happy news for her Dadi.
So as she grew up she had balman(child heart) what she percieve was constant hatred from the most respected person of their house and her child brain registered that reasons are her being a girl and second death of her twin brother so she started hating that very fact which made her undesirable for her Dadi who otherwise had good nature and sweet talks with everyone be it her maa,papa or sister or neighbours.
She started hating the things which were girly as they were constant reminder of her being rediculed,she started hating the facts which are gender stereotyped,she started or I would say start to try to be that dead brother of hers,she wanted to fill that gap which her dadi made her believe created by her.
In all this turmoil of hers who was beside her who was there,was it her mother,I don't think so,I don't think before her father's death her mother would have even paid any attention towards this becoz as I already explained her character,she just accepted that ammaji has hurt of losing her grandson.
Was her sister there for her,no from meety's birth she experienced her being rediculed and than her aversion to look beautiful made her believe that her dadi is right she doesn't look good,she doesn't deserve good,she deserves to be despised.
Only person was there for her,her father,he was there,he respected her,loved her,praised her,took stand for her,shown trust in her,she started spending time with her,his teachings started affecting her child heart,those teachings instilled in her soul of braveness,kindness,honesty,truthfulness,he turned out to be her friend,her guide,her protector,a part who fills the void who turns the hatred she recieves into love,her everything.
She started to dream to be like,only one person who praised her,she wanted to make him proud.
And side by side she noticed that by helping others she get that validation that she is not useless or she is not burden or undesired.
She got that love and with time it became her habbit.
This made her selfless and kind.Thats how it became her nature,she wanted to find happiness and she found that in other's,thats how she stop tolerating injustice as of her father's teaching.
It gave her happiness and now it is her second nature.
So thats how she started to adjust to her not so perfect life,she find her happiness,she started to shape up like that but as we say life is cruel and her one and only support system,her world was snatched away,her father left her
But his body his physical presence left her,his teachings,his trust in her was there intact in her mind.
Her dadi's taunts of not having a grandson and her family's plight who used to live with head high in despair,her dadi and mummy whom she saw as khuddar(self reliant)people she saw them with heavy heart and bowed heads,how could she let that hapoen she can't let her dadi's trust win,she can't let that childhood mistake of her being alive but her brother being died to be a reason for this,she can't let her father's trust in her broken.
She will complete the void of not having a man in the house,she will become the shield for them in times of attack,she will become their roof when it rains,she will become the one who will cry in pain so that her family can smile in happiness.
From here on she became the one who started hiding her pain,she became a closed book so that her family's happiness don't get spoiled,she learned to keep pains to herself and give happiness to those whom she considers her own
This journey of hers was not easy to fulfil these needs of her family,she tolerated people's mocking as she took the job which she got which was unconventional for a girl and than her disregard for societal norms of how a girl should behave becoz she had not any time to do that.
So she felt bad but she can't let that feeling of hers stop her,so she started keeping it avoided,she turned deaf ears and blind eyes to this mocking.
From here on that disregards of hers towards herself intensified since birth she believed her unnecessary but all this mocking take that gist of fighting,she turned a giver with a thought that she doesn't deserve anything in return.
Her self importance which was very low initially in her eyes turned zero.
Than due to facing the world at this young age turned her street smart,developed self defense in her,capability to differentiate good and bad.
And all this combinedly shaped up the Meet Hooda we watch on our tv screens.
She never fights for herself but she fight for her family initially it was only hoodas and now Ahlawats,she is not mahaan she is the way becoz of her circumstnaces.She turned herself into giver,protector and now it became her nature.
The love she recieved till now was conditional,her mother loves her no doubt but still she had expectations which she knew she had to fulfill,under those expectations her mother's love got lost,her dadi accpeted her with condition of initially marrying her and than when her loved granddaughter ditched her,her in laws love came with condition to keep their son happy.
So she doesn't know that she is that important in herslef that even if she will not do anything she will be loved,she doesn't came across a situation where just mere her existence will matter not all the pressure she take on her head.
So now this journey of her in future will teach her self love,importance of her mere existence,wings to her dreams,will teach her that its okay to take a back seat,its completely fine to fight for yourself,nobody is going to hate you.She will be taught this by her husband MeetA.
They are missing pieces of puzzles who exactly fit into each other.
They can make each other better version of themselves.
Its journey worth watching if not destroyed.🧿
