2021 is going to be over in few hours. Before closing the year’s book, let’s relive a few events that hit the headlines...(feel free to share your own below)
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave up their royal status for good. We have grown up seeing the British Royal Family as a kind of living fairytale. Yet, things are not the way they seem to be. The ex Royal couple decided to be close to ordinary people and show that they live a simple life without being surrounded by hundreds of cameras. It became the gossip in town in UK press for a while. Although they announced their decision to step down in 2020 - they were given a 12-month review period after which if they decided to return, they'd be welcomed with open arms. However, as expected, their final decision to never return to royal life was announced in February 2021.
The 47th President of USA Joe Biden along with the Vice President, Kamala Harris, entered the White House after a state inauguration. It marked a new turn in the life of millions of Americans.
Taliban returned to Afghanistan after US and allies officially withdrew troops in May 2021. Millions of Afghans tried to escape the Taliban forces regime. Social media has been flooded with horrible images and videos, showing the population in distress. We pray 2022 is a better year for them.
The Omicron variant emerged and touched millions of people. The new variant of the Coronavirus appeared during a critical phase of the pandemic. Where the world was already facing the challenges of the Delta variant, this new variant forced countries to speed up vaccinations amongst all age categories.
French Astronaut Thomas Pesquet returned to Earth after 200 days of a long mission on Dragon Endeavour spatial ship. The astronaut never failed to share his passion on instagram giving breathless captures of the space.

As we bid farewell to 2021 and welcome 2022, here's a wish list of the things we hope and pray to see:
A safe year where we will be able to live with the virus and enjoy being with our loved ones without any restrictions.
Happy moments in our lives, we have cried enough.
Protection of people who are in distress and great difficulties. They deserve joy and light, not pain and darkness.
Forgiveness for our sins and the ability to forgive others.
Peace and harmony for all beings (yes that includes less fanwars on IF please)
Success in all avenues with the motivation to overcome all barriers/obstacles that come our way.
Marriage😆 to whoever wishes to get married maybe in a Katrina or Ankita style...
And good health for those that are suffering - overall we pray for good to come to everyone!
