Meet Alhawat and where he stands

I wrote this post from MA's standpoint and it was damn hard. Took some time to reflect on it as came back.

With Manushi:

Let's say he actually fell for her. Manushi fitted his text book guide of 'Perfect Humsafar' (that's what he thought) and after rejecting so many proposals he finally found his dream girl. Then, one day that same lady scrapes everything over and runs away, and he HAD TO married his nemesis-the girl he despised. It took them 1.5 months to reach somewhat stability even after the forced arranged marriage they had and finally, he was ready to move on, leaving behind all the questions and the lingering feelings he had. Now after fleeing his own house, and getting ready to create his own memories with the girl he knows is the right person, he comes across the same picture perfect definition of 'dream girl'. He was still fine with it. Like Chalo sunn leta hain Kya hain ise kehna. Sorry kahegi shayad. Shayad kahegi Kisi aur se Pyaar tha. But he got the answer he least expected, and he immediately knew wasn't the entire truth (thankfully) Then he goes on to say the biggest lie ever. Manushi doesn't affect him and he doesn't need answers!

Wrong bro! She definitely affects you and you need answers. PROPER ANSWERS!!!

Manushi in Meet's mind (coming from Meet's pov) is an enigma now. Is she the girl he fell for? Is she the selfish girl who left him at his alter? Or is she the girl who is begging for his forgiveness and sympathy? (Yaar Manushi Jo trope play kar rahi hain na? It is ITV'S fav redemption track. That's how guilt ridden lovers attain forgiveness. They suffer infront of their lovers and make them realize dekho I love you sacchi mucchi) What is she? But he also knows that he is married, so this really doesn't matter, but it is affecting him. What to do now?

{THAT'S EXACTLY HOW CONFUSED HE IS SHOWN}

With Meet:

Physical level mein zyada attraction nahi hain abhi. Maybe they are laying ground for a love where you love the soul and not the body. He is falling for her each day with each new personality being unleashed. He runs to her when he is upset. He smiles with her no matter how upset he is. Only she has the power to pull him out of the bizarre state his mind is in. And that's Meet Hooda's superpower on play. He just shines different with her. Chahaya jitna dukhi ho, a little banter with her, and he is back to being the goofy, cute Meet Alhawat /Meetwa we all love. Boat incident~spend time with MH~attain normalcy. Tub incident~banter with MH~attain normalcy. That's it. He can be his vulnerable self infront of her and she is there. She understands him and to be honest he needs her. He will be lost without her and he doesn't realize that.

He needs to put his mind to what is more important to him.

Why do we see him so overwhelmed and restless all the time ?

Cause he is falling for Meety and trying to 'fall out of love' with Manushi at the same time.

Where the writers f-ed up?

Showing such intensity for Manushi wasn't needed. Angst mil raha hain par galat source se. We understand what you wanted to show hut such repeatitive drama wasn't needed. How are we supposed to ship our couple (the end game) if you do this?!! They really needed to tone down this Manushi jaap and focus more on Meets. Because now if they wanna convince us, they have to show more intensity from MA's side for MH which is very hard.

What should be done now?

MA seems to be transfixed. At time like this, we usually need a dhakka.

A dhakka to make him realize that what MH is for him ( and tbh fandom ko bhi Janna hain yeh) Maybe her distancing herself from him or her getting hurt. Kuch bhi lao paar MH k liya lao.

A dhakka that will immediately clear all the confusion he has for Manushi. He needs to see her real face Taki banday k dimaag mein Jo confusion ka dukan khula hain woh band ho. Cz apparently our ML isn't smart enough to realize Manushi is bad just by her approaching him in her sister's absence.

P.S-Meety is sorted. She isn't head over heels for Meetwa either. She is dealing with this how she would deal in an arrange marriage setting. Love in such cases doesn't happen overnight, but the relationship stays and she is working to make this relationship work. So is Meetwa. Even he is working to make this relationship work. What's messed up is that his past is reckoning him as he is stepping towards the future.

The only thing I see now is he isn't using his brain.. He knows Manushi is bad news but wants her to accept that.. All her words are contradicting each other but he isn't processing all that..He rather wants her to tell it to his face that yes I ditched you because I was interested in someone else..

mine will be counted as non intellectual opinion but here what I think that your post is true word by word… Sadly your draft got deleted.. I would have loved to read more detailed analysis of yours…. pr hm kitna b kahe.. writers have a set pace in mind… Manushi is central to this track.. that’s why she has shot for more scenes than Meet Hooda in Rajasthan…(uske monologues, uski planning and plotting… ) also I don’t know how they will take it forward from Honeymoon track …whether Manushi will be shown in Ahlawat mansion? I have a feeling that listening to this Kunal will come back either to blackmail her or settle up along with her claiming to be her husband…. whatever be the case , I don’t want Meet Hooda to be a charity case… if Meet Ahlawat displays a strong range of emotions for Manushi, I would love Meet Hooda to back off … and do not take him back just because he is tricked again by Manushi… She is neither an option nor his therapist…. I read everyone’s opinion that how easily his mood changes when he speaks to Meet Hooda .. how he needs her constant presence to keep him grounded… ye biwi ya dost ni .. bhai therapist ka job description h … mje ni chaiye ye … sorry but not sorry…

Ikr back off karle and agar rehna hain then focus on Tej and her studies. Petition to bring another male lead for Meety. Why should boys have all the fun?

And according to Nikki. Someone appoint him a therapist tbh. I see with such conversations they are trying to push an emotional bond between the leads but the repeatition is giving me a headache now.

The only issue that I have with MA is that while hes showing his deewanapan for manu, it doesnt seem like he has just friendship feels for meety either. All the scenes we have seen b/w the two don't look platonic at all with their eye locks. I'm sure he doesn't know himself about how he truly feels for meety at this point other than knowing how gentle and caring she is but he def feels different around her now than he did previously. For example, with that bath tub scene in the hotel, he didn't even ask her to close her eyes whereas during the pag phera track when they were in hooda house he had asked her to close her eyes when she was helping him shower. Matlab bande ko manu ko bhoolna bi nahi he or meety ka bharosa bi nahi todna he to kya kare.

First time it was expected n understood, his reaction, his getting affected... But repeatedly him getting affected with same or more intensity is getting too much.. I expected him to started thinking rationally... As his bond Meety has grown much deeper..n he had said repeatedly tht he can't hear a word against her .. so even after remembering what manushi said abt meety... Why is he not analysing it..... Does he not see manushi's shallowness when she said Meety is like boy... U need somebody like me .

Sometimes I feel it must be Shagun...he is so brilliant that may be he enacts it so intensely that we all feel like this..

If anyone says, Meets haven't progressed a bit. I will literally laugh at their faces. Their relationship is fine at its pace. It's taking time and it's slowly evolving but with the addition of Manushi in the equation it sort of hurts to see such strong emotions and intense reactions from MA's side for her. Tab comparatively lagta hain kuch hua hi nahi Meets k beech. If answer is what he needs and if this stops after he gets them then fine. Weird but fine. But this needs to stop or else Meet will definitely lose the loyal fanbase it has

Shagun toh jaan hain show ka. Saachme. Jo one can portray this confused and complex Meet Alhawat better than him. The casting choice has been impeccable
