It's probably just the spices used, you know? I'm used to chillies or chilly powder only, and can have super theeka khana if that's the spice used. But when people use cinnamon, cloves, in excess, I feel the way you do. It doesn't taste spicier, just bakwaas.
Or, you have a cold? Taking any nasal or eye drops? They all affect taste.... You feel like the simpler food is all that tastes good. It's probably just that. Show yourself to an ENT specialist if it gets worse or something, though.
