Thats an Epic scene from DDLJ that no one can ever forget where Shah rakh khan looks back at Kajol in anticipation of her turning back with these lines and eventually she did "Palat" to make him ecstatic.

Imlie me.. the role were reversed.. It was Imlie as Raj who was hoping Mr Akadbagha is less akda so he will also make a turn (just like Simran). It was such a different take on the original scene from movie and i found it pretty symbolic too in AryLie story.

Just my way of thinking reading between the lines.. Imlie will hav an upper hand in their relationship. As Aryan's heart will melt to marshmellows once fallen for her. Her wishes would be commands for him... and he would never disobey those commands (not in wrong way but just to keep her happy forver and always).
So far Imlie despite being so small n silly in front of him she still keeps her ground when she is right and Aryan too appreciates her confidence. He just guides her as mentor when she is wrong but makes sure she knows where he is comong from and he doesn't insult her.
And once they start feeling for each other, obviously Aryan would be the first one as Palat is a big give away sign in that direction, that subconsciously he is already gravitating towardd her without her even knowing.. this is going to be a big big thing to observe anf appreciate.
