I am going to say sometl things in defense of Manjari.

1. Her one wish from the beginning of the show is to get Abhi married. During the music therapy session she only sees Abhi in his wedding sherwani meaning she is open to any girl.

2. She saw Akshara openly say she does not love Abhimanyu in front of the whole Birla household. She only switched to Arohi because Abhi was not successful in getting Akshara to agree.

3. She does not know that Arohi is not like Akshara. She is only seeing things as they are presented to her. She tends to make assumptions

4. She is from a generation of women who adjusted in the name of family. Her job is to run the household and try to maintain peace in the house. She adjusted in the Birlas so she thinks the girl who comes into this house will also adjust. She thinks Arohi will adjust and be able to bridge that gap and continue to uphold the family. Again she does not know that Arohi is selfish and the complete opposite of what is currently being reflected. She may also be blinded by the fact that her husband seems to really like Arohi.

5. She is not good at reading people. There are some people out there who can have one meeting with a person and know if this person is good or bad. Its a vibe thing. One of my friends has that. She can usually tell if the person is good or if some is isn't who they say they are. Me on the other I am horrible at reading people. I just tend to think everyone is good 😆

All your points about her are valid dear..... Only thing is she is ok with getting her son married into a loveless relationship..... She herself is a victim for a loveless marraige.....then how can she do this to him.....This one thing am unable to accept....😭

I think this falls under point 4. Her generation of thinking and also her current marriage. Maybe in the beginning when she was getting her arranged marriage she liked Harshvardhan but maybe he did not like her. Either way they got married. She adjusted and created a place inside the family. She runs the household and keeps the family peace. She still had at least 1 child with him. The children of the house seem to all love her. Her brother in law treats her nicely. Mahima has her own issues with her but that is sister stuff.

So for Manjari arranged marriage is about adjustment from both sides to support the marriage. Even Harshvardhan had a dialogue about marriage in one the scenes when Manjari and him were discussing Abhimanyu getting married. Harshvardhan said something along the lines that one day he will have to get married even if it isn't with someone he likes. He will need to learn to adjust.

The difference we see in the current generation is love can be a factor in marriage and we shouldn't have to settle. I agree the fault in Manjari's thoughts is why put your son through this? But her experience says life is about adjustments. Who knows maybe you will be able come to terms and build a life together.

There are two types of love stories

1. True love marriage

2. Marriage that starts as compromise but ends with understanding, companionship, and then love

We all want Abhimanyu and Akshara to get together because we know as the audience that theirs is a true love story. Abhimanyu will never be able to love again because his first and last love is Akshara. We know Akshara loves Abhimanyu as well but for reasons cannot say it openly.
