Okay. So I'm currently in my 1am existential crisis+ extra dimaag lagaying mood. And I figured out stuff regarding aaj ka ep.
1. The thing that I've noticed many times, now more than ever about Karan is that he takes the people around him for granted. He does care for them, he so does, but sometimes he forgets that they care about him too. And he realises that how much they are actually worth to him after they have already gone. I noticed that he often taunted or downgraded Faizi, never completely returned the concern Sanj has for him, often ignored Barkha, cut off Monami. And when Faizi stopped talking to him, Monami changed, he was desperate to win them back. (Idk about Sanj and Barkha. Maybe he'll realise soon. Or not ever.)
(1am dimaag ki upaj: Kahi..Param ka case bhi same to nahi tha? Like maybe Karan took him for granted and realized how much he meant to him when it was too late?)
2. (Again a 1am dimaag ki upaj- ) Chakravyuh ka jo SidSa ka task tha, that was soooooo symbolic! They were shut in sufflcating box, the box of 'idealism' ...or maybe everything that their parents want from them...or maybe just Sanj's reality or her life back home or just her mother's expectations. They're suffocating her, tying her down. And when she's finally giving in, there's SidG! He has already escaped those expectations, the chains! And he is slowly, unknowingly setting Sanj free.
Plus was it just me ya aaj ka ep felt almost rushed..

Agree. In starting episodes also Karan had said something rude to Faizi & then apologized. Faizi is the only one who relatively knows him well because he might have been there during Param's time. Karan has really closed himself off and he himself admitted that he had prepared himself for hatred. Right now he is so deep in his guilt that he doesnt see others who have always been there to support him and even help him, only if he would allow them in. Same happened with Monami. He would be standoffish with her but would actually enjoy her attention and he would do all of it on his own terms.
By confessing Monami changed the status quo b/w them and forced him to introspect and think in that direction jo shayad woh kabhi nahi sochta.
Earlier also when she was annoyed with him and tried to be only professional, he managed to win her back within few hours because he couldnt take her ignorance and now also he is trying that but the issue is much bigger. She has changed him but I still dont think he is in love with her because he never thought about it.
Yes, found the episode to be really rushed. Scenes were there but the impact was not there. Dont know what was the hurry and last task of Chakravyuh was a total joke. I doubt people in schools also do such tasks. It had a very lame ending.They didnt even utilize the entire team.

I agree somewhat about your first observation about karan taking people for granted sometimes. He is so closed in his shell on loss and hurt that he at times just fails to look beyond it and keeps pushing people away afraid of losing them.It at times takes a big loss for us to realise how wrong we were
This is something I did as well for almost my whole life . Having seen a very toxic abusive childhood and being bullied in kindergarten for my parents divorce and being physically abused by my aunt it broke me mentally. It lead me to feeling abandoned and unwanted. Having never really had a stable place called home till I turned six lead me to masking my emotions and putting up a tough front.
To the world I was this happy, chirpy , bubbly girl who had a great sense of humor, super popular and great at sports,academics and dance. But within I was super under confident, depressed and lonely.
I was commitment phobic and would pretend that yaar I'm really focused in life hence I don't want to have a relationship, today I have no shame in admitting that I was wrong I unintentionally broke alot guys hearts as they often mistook my friendly nature as a reciprocation of love. I was a big time jerk in college. Was insensitive and lacked the quality to be appreciative.
I used to think hain yeh log jayenga kaaha , zindagi bhar jhelna hain inko.
It wasn't until I actually fell for a guy who had been asking me out for two years and was a true gem, as I couldn't understand how anybody would love a jerk like me, and kept thinking ek din haar maan jayega but he just never gaveup and would always say ki mujhe paata hain ki ek din mujhse pyaar hain yeh baat tu bhi maan legi par baas darr hain ki uss din sune ka liya main hi na rahu but me being the idiot that I was kept denying my feelings and would always laugh it off saying aisi bewakoofi laate kaha sa ho ,paata nahi aisa saste dialogues kon likh ka deta hain tumhe it wasn't until I lost him forever that I realised how cruel I had been. He was in the army he was last posted in Nagaland, he lost his life during a attack at the base camp.
I lost not only him but also another close friend his sister as we both couldn't come to terms with his death and just moved away from eachother and haven't spoken since then. It was a hard hitting lesson for me to learn how to appreciate my friends and family and let them know that I love and care for them.❤️ I still lack in expressing my emotions but I'm much better than what I was a few years ago.
Anyway all this aside I again agree to your last part about sidsa . I think it maybe has some future procastination maybe with moran as well where karan will finally come out of his set prejudices and learn to communicate his feelings.

I love how your brain works at 1 am & I agree, probably I didn’t go in that detailing initially when I was watching Karan but I felt that every now and then.
