And we can surely see the shift in TRP post-Aryan's entry.

Aur ye log bhi chant hai bro. They very well know what will click for TRP, hence they went the routine character way, but this time Gul has gone way back to her original days. She has carved Aryan from the skin of Maan Singh Khurana of Geet. Subtle yet strong.AryLie's equation is very much like Maan and Geet only.

Right?? The others were entertaining, but Maan and his equation with Geet were unlike any other that followed. Sometimes people think they need to make everything loud and big for a larger than life character, but subtlety goes a long way. His was so patient and warm with her, supported her in the city where she knew no one else and rescued her like once a week at least 😂 Their back and forth was the plot for me.

Exactly, Anika and Khushi were loud, and Arnav and Shivaay were too OTT, but Imlie and Aryan - they have a classiness to them. Their banter is not too loud and not too OTT. Apart from "Peet ma Koni" and "Teesri Baat Udhar Rahi", they are quite subtle.

Plus a fantastic actor is embodying the role. A lot of people are loving it and that is making me hope... but I also know that the primary difference between Gul and Ekta is listening to the viewers.

Ekta has received more success because she is extremely receptive to audiences demands unlike Gul. Gul has driven a show to the dumps because she refused to listen to viewers. Viewers got angry and boycotted the show... ended in 70 episodes 🤪

At this point we can only hope... beyond which if Aryan is butchered or leaves the show I can kiss goodbye to the show too,

Honestly I find Gul creates much better shows. When it comes to writing it has to happen organically. I do believe that it's a creatives responsibility to give the audience something good versus what the audience wants. If I'm honest, I'm fickle. I often say I want something but when I get it I don't like it. Instead I like whatever they give me as long as its good.

With Ekta, no matter the trappings of the show, its always regressive. She is the one who brought saas bahu dynamics back to the small screen. I did love many of Ekta shows, atleast back when I used to love her shows because that's all there was. But if you notice after the first year they all go the same way. And those endless leaps.

Gul has much better writing. We may not like the story, true. But it's not just business for her. Written integrity also matters. I remember people were hounding her in Geet days because of Maan and Geet's separation. She gave an interview saying that the separation was also hurting her. Those characters were real for her. Her more recent shows are more plot driven than earlier because she had to make changes to be successful. I don't know how Aditya came to be such a dolt but maybe he always had a bit of dolt in him?

Right now I started trying to binge Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 and I gave up because the writing is just not good. Great production quality and top-notch talent, but Ekta wouldn't know good writing if it smacked her in the face. She believes in tell not show.

This show isn't telling us that Aryan is just a hard shell but a softie on the inside, its showing us.

To be honest, after Geet, Gul has made shows driven by the TRP. After Geet, she used the same trope for Iss Pyaar Ko and Ishqbaaz for the lead pair. It's only in Imlie that she has done differently.

Where Aditya is a regular guy and Imlie is a simple girl, and it has a touch of authenticity as the writing has been good so far. People still watched the show even after Aditya married Malini, kyunki Aditya and Imlie me kaafi layers the, unke beech ke tension me bhi ek attraction tha.

But now it has become exhausted because they are not being able to get out of this triangle. It's going round and round, where Aditya cannot let go of any boat. Ab iss ke beech disruption laane ke liye they had to bring another character. But I don't know or think if they expected that Aryan would become so accepted by a certain category of audiences. Now, the story will skirt around 4 characters, and who knows what Gul does with them. She starts off fine, but then she royally messes things up. Signs and symbols to deti hai AryLie ke liye, but kya ye hoga? Hum log chahte hai but will she do so? AdiLie ka bhi agar kuch hona hai, to ek massive shift ki zaroorat hai. Kyunki ye log samajh gaye hai, and hum log bhi that to draw in viewers who did not or stopped watching the show, Aryan was the carrot. But ab kya? How will they take it from here, is what we have to wait and see.

She has always stood by Malini and her happiness, Aditya has seen that. But if she is saying that Malini is wrong, then what is not there to hear?

I meant Aditya's bias towards believing Malini. I'm beginning to think nothing Imlie does or says can change how highly Aditya values Malini's words and Malini herself. It's not about Imlie at all and I think she's learning that now too.

Yeah, agreed. Honestly I didn't stick around for all of IPKKND. Because of the bold. I do think think though that her writing has more integrity than Ekta's shows. Daily soaps are a problematic format to begin with because to be "successful" you have to be never-ending. A set number of episodes like a mini-series would avoid this. Hopefully one day romantic stories like this can have that format in itv.

For me it's mostly the journey and after that I get bored. So I'll watch until they get together and then let's see. I do think though that you're right and maybe Arylie's equation will also change Malini and Aditya's possibly.

Today's episode kinda paved the way for Aryan and Imlie's story to happen..I really think Aryan - Imlie's story will happen going forward..I have a few observations and pointers from today's episode..So without further ado here they are..

*Aryan giving Imlie the two minutes she wanted..Imlie wanted that time deciding to mend her broken relationship and if Aryan had wanted he could have cut her off asking her to keep her personal problems at home, but he gave her that 2 minutes..Those 2 minutes might have been only 120 seconds for Aryan, but for Imlie, it was more so much more..And he gave weightage to what she seeked and that is the best thing..

*I really like how Aryan does these little things, like lighting the fire place today, keeping in mind Imlie's comfort..He does things for her without putting on a show..He knows she was feeling cold and thus he lit the fire place, his subtle actions speaks volumes.

*Imlie's wedding saree got burnt, going by ITV cliches, this indicates a doom of the relationship..I liked how Aryan rushed to save Imlie..It was nicely done..

*Coming to the coat scene, Aryan helped Imlie with the coat, because she was shivering after the near fire accident and he offered her the coat because she might fall sick..There is nothing more, or nothing less to the scene, he is just worried about her..Aryan's intentions have no malice and that is one of the reasons why Imlie does not shy away from taking his help when needed...

*The way Aryan's cautioned Imlie and asked her to be careful as Aditya seemed angry, Aryan's concern for Imlie stood out..He did not want her to face the brunt of Aditya's gussa..For all the strictness Aryan displays, he is a softie at heart when it comes to Imlie..Awww..Aryan is already looking out for Imlie and going forward he will get more protective of her I guess..

*The precap is really scary, but I am hoping Aryan comes in like Imlie's knight in shining armor and saves her in the nick of time...

The aesthetics and the boundaries that both have respectfully created are commendable, IMO. Usually, when they show a couple separation and introduce the 3rd person, the cliches used are too dramatic and they are used to create suspicion. But here the equation between Imlie and Aryan has been shown so clean and non-melodramatic, that Aditya's reaction to all their interactions looks too dramatic. Yes, I agree, Aditya very well knows that Imlie is strong and capable enough to move ahead in life without him, but not like he is comprehending. A man who always confronts and questions just chose to rely on his weakness and handed over papers to her.

I like the portrayal of Aryan and Imlie's equation because it is built on pain, sadness, and loss. So, they both understand that misery. Although in ITV shows they show the heroine always returning to the original hero with the 3rd angle turning into a nuisance, for once I would really want that sanctity of this equation to be kept as is. Btw, what makes you believe so strongly that we are headed down a journey of AryLie?

Bold - The third angle has already turned into a nuisance 🤣, Aryan is the 4th angle 😎 so maybe we will get lucky. 😆

Yes, yes, how could I forget that? But Malini from the very beginning looked vedi, to uska nuisance banna wasn't such a shock. have you seen who have raised her?

With Aryan, the case isn't so. He looks like a genuine guy, and his family is really sweet. Yes, he himself is stick in rut of anger and pain, that too he is inflicting on himself. But, with ITV, 4th angles ko bhi nuisance bana de ye log.
