when raghav and pallavi dropped mandar at d house after finding him and he asks her to stop after finding it out from sulochana that pallavi is his wife , pallavi has a shocked plus a little bit fearful expression IMO. I think makers wanted to convey that pallavi feared mandar for some reason which was going to be revealed later in mysterious ways. And all the mandar jaap that she did that he was great was just a psychological facade she used to cover up her fear

I don't think it's facade from Pallavi as she believed him to be good person... I guess he was supposed to be grey but not out and out negative and .Makers planned for something else... A bit more grey / darker than Raghav may be.. but makers too can't hold on to the thin lines where the perception and color changes and hence made him a psycho and negative.. i wanted Mandar to be obsessive of Pallavi but not in psycho type but typical son of a Sanki who is holding on to pallavi for the honour of D house... Where makers went wrong in my opinion is they made Pallavi to choose between love and supposed resposibility like 50 here and 50 there when she never loved Mandaar... Rather they should have shown her giving into D fam demands because of strong force... I expected that Mandaar would have a back story where he could prove that RR was indeed the one who tried to kill him just to keep Pallavi to himself and to save RR she would either work with RR or detach herself from RR and then a small separation and desperation and longingness from both... but they failed to show that side of Pallavi in that track and gave importance to Mandaar and some garam masala (oops garam deewane)

Also as usual the dialogues didn't made sense when Pallavi told that she is doing all this just to make sure that RR and Pallavi won't get seperate which didn't make any sense because by doing this all the D fam got is more options to seperate RR and Pallavi... The writers have the capability to write good dialogues and at times they did but they fell flat in most important scenes... Like Amma and Raghav reconciliation and few more...

bold : I too had similar expectations like what you wrote and usually itv gives an entertaining episodes whenever these type of scenarios occur in serials.But sickand couldn't even execute in an standard itv manner.

Imagine the level of angst if story went something like pallavi had believed mandar that raghav tried to kill him that night. Raghav pleading innocence but pallavi not believing him due to mandar planning and plotting. And after that Raghav gives up trying to justify his stance and goes back to his old don form who didn't care about anyone and flaunted the power of his wealth. After that pallavi realising that she was trapped by mandar talks and then trying to mend things with Raghav.

There were so much options to explore but cvs wasted opportunities

Yes... I too thought something in the similar lines about angst... I don't mind them showing Mandaar trying to win Pallavi by hook or crook but not in a creepy way... They made Mandaar creepy. He started planning and plotting in a good way but to show him negative they made him psycho... I wanted to know what makers actually planned? They had the Devayani murder plot way before in mind as it was told in hyd track... But what exactly they thought remains a bLind spot. They should have shown a bit of angsty jealousy helplessness longing etc.. i mean there is a lot of scope but they just flashed RaghVi on the screen🤦and ended up showing garam deewane.. the above discussed track might be shown in other shows too but it differs on how the execution is done... Also what was shown now is also shown on many shows as ex has to be always black...

May be I am wrong but bts me jab pallavi raghav ko forehead or eyes par kiss karne ke baad lip kiss karti hai then aisa lag raha hai jaise real me kiss kiya hai dont know camera angle hai ya mujhe aisa lag raha hai bcs she was so close to him

On a serious note though, I've seen several shows with kissing scenes (some blurred and some actual ones) so I don't think it's because of sanskaar or whatever. I know Sony is the pioneer in this regard but has SP ever shown any kissing scenes on-screen?

The issue I think is that the confession happened around the time when SS was getting major bashing for the M track. Had the ILU happened prior to M's entry we would've gotten their kiss but after all the drama SS was like
