For me her worst moment is when she tells Sona to hide while serving Dev her horribly made Halwa *just* so that she could hear him criticize it.
What a vile, mean thing to do to someone.
Oh yes! That was just such petty childish nonsense? I know she didn't like that Sona made modifications to her recipe but you know what her behaviour reminded me of? The typical jealous ex-girlfriend of the male lead. That will try to act as if everything is good and she loves the FL but plans to humiliate her.
But even after Sona found out, idk how warning bells didn't start ringing in her mind.

There are so many disgusting things she did, it's kind of hard to choose one moment.
I'd say the whole fake pregnancy track. Sona was going through a lot and this woman managed to make even that about herself. When Sonakshi asked her if she would still accept her if the treatment failed, she just beat around the bush but wasn't even ready to say a simple yes. Dev too. In that moment, my respect for the mother-son duo as humans (and not just as husband/MIL) went completely down the drain.
Dev had absolutely no problem telling her he doesn't want kids and just her the night before. But as soon as he knew that his mom wouldn't accept Sona if she couldn't get pregnant, he had no answer.
A life partner is supposed to be your greatest cheerleader. But a slave cannot support anyone, can he? Cause that's exactly what Dev is. A slave to his mother's whims and fancies.
Moreover, the track showed that Ishwari was more than aware of the efforts Sona was putting into their (nonexistent) relationship. She was just way too blinded by greed, fear and jealousy to accept that.
Let alone God, her being decent human is also questionable.
Despite all this, she at least redeemed herself somewhat. I'm not counting S3 because they just negated the character development.
But Dev didn't even get that which is what I'm the most salty about.
This track was just heartbreaking. And it felt as if Ishwari was just blaming Sona for the sake of blaming her.
Everytime Dev has lied to her she has managed to blame others for it.
And instead of thinking of how devastating this would have been for Sonakshi she blamed this on her as well. The way she just assumed that this all must be a trick by Sona to gain her love not even seeing that her saying this basically confirms she never loved Sona.
I think this is something I will always be upset about with the makers.
They always showed that the only way Ishwari would accept Sona would be if she provides a child.
Sona was very clear when she asked that what if I can't? Ishwari never replied on that.
And even though Dev says that no he loves Sona and doesn't want kids I feel that given enough pressure Dev would start blaming Sonakshi. Because he can never disagree with his mom.🙄
Actually the whole Ishwari honeymoon track was disgusting. I felt horrible for Sona and I couldn't believe that Dev did not think this was wrong on so many levels.
That fact that Dev never got it will bother me forever. Her redemption actually was nice in a way, but it makes me so angry that nobody called her out the way she should have been called out.
Except those times right after both breakups when Dev had a drunken confrontation with her, and that one time when he told her to stop interfering in his life - he has never once acknowledged the problems she has caused him.
But more than anyone, all my anger is directed towards Mamaji. Every YouTube comment calls him a wise character and how he and Asha are the best. He saw everything every single time. Dev didn't. But he never stopped her, never admonished her, never tried to protect Sonakshi despite being the most friendly with her.
Omg Mama ji! I don't know why people think he is so good? But he just is so irritating.
I know for comedic effects he is always making fun of his wife, but he is not a good husband imo. Doesn't excuse GKB and her Red ka behaviour but he isn't all great either.
Plus he is very much an enabler for Ishwaris behaviour. The one time I respected him was after Dev ki deewangi when he told Ishwari that it was all her fault. But that was so short-lived and ishwari just turned around and said no it's his fault because he is supposed to stop her and he didn't 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
On top of that Mamaji just created so many problems unnecessarily. What was the need to tell Ishwari about Dev/Sona dating. That's really where it started
I think she did suspect it before but yes him telling her just cemented that she would never support it.
After all her "mahan beta" had dared to have a bit of privacy and make a decision in his own life 😱😱

Her son is most definitely equally responsible! I love Dev but he just makes me scream sometimes. Idk how he thinks the level of interference Ishwari does is okay? While I agree that one should always give priority to our parents, a mature adult knows how to give the same importance to your spouse as well. Especially considering how much Sona accomodates.
Not only did Dev want Sona to be just as devoted to his mom as he is but he didn't really reciprocate that with her parents.
I think somewhere Dev and Ishwari think they are the only people ever to make sacrifices for their family and expect others to be in constant awe of that.
Bold- I think his mom sure does have that idea in her head 😂
Omg this just reminded me of another Ishwari moment that makes my blood boil- when she got angry about Dev calling Asha maa
Dev loves Sonakshi's parents and is legitimately seems so comfortable in her house, but extending that courtesy to them in his house is something Ishwari won't stand for, and her discomfort is something that Dev won't stand for. In situations where Ishwari isn't involved (or aware), he's so sweet and loving- like when he sent them all Diwali gifts without Sona's knowledge, or all the times he demands to eat lunch/dinner for Asha's cooking. All this is negated when he goes home and tells his mom he hasn't eaten lunch from Sonakshi's because Ishwari has made lunch and waited 🤦🏻♀️

Ugh yes, like the level of insecurity where you have a problem with your married son calling his MIL as mom is just 👏👏👏
And Dev anyways encourages it. First of all why did ishwari think they wouldn't feed him? And for him to then sit down and eat 🙄🙄
I love Krpkab but it infuriates me so many times!

The post marriage track is extremely exhausting and felt dragged sometimes. Although I must say that’s the exact track we signed up for when we started watching, it was unbearable at times. AND besides Ish, we had to tolerate GKB & Vicky too. It was overwhelming at times.
The post marriage track was bad enough that the epitome of diplomacy, Shaheer tweeted that they're now officially part of a Saas-Bahu serial 😂
I generally only watch my favorite bits from post marriage track (Devakshi/Bose house) and skip Issue, GKB and Vicky. So not looking forward to it

Yes I think the beautiful way the start and the love story was displayed lulled us into a false sense of security thinking they will handle the post marriage thing in the same way. But that's probably why post marriage track hurts so much. There is too much attachment and expectation from the characters and they don't deliver:(
