But that's probably why post marriage track hurts so much. There is too much attachment and expectation from the characters and they don't deliver:(

Like literally in every episode there’s either Dev or Sonakshi saying sorry and saying “aaj se hum jhagda ni karenge” 😭 it got extremely predictable. The leap was a fresh start again and it finally got interesting till Sonakshi kept on denying her feelings for Dev. Then again it started dragging. After 340 it finally started again.

Agreed omg, her son is the worst! 🤦🏻‍♀️

There are so many moments where Sonakshi clearly tells him that his mother did something or said something disrespectful, and every time he dismisses her saying "tumhe galat fehmi hui hogi"

He gives her keys to his cupboard, and she cleans it and everything for him. She even tries to creepily inspect the lingerie Dev bought Sonakshi in the days following their wedding.

Dev never sees her faults, even when he does- he won't acknowledge them. Ever. It's the most frustrating relationship.

Kaise reh sakte hai aise logo ke saath? I'm sure given a chance...the sisters would abandon the maa beta and run away from these two.

Her son is most definitely equally responsible! I love Dev but he just makes me scream sometimes. Idk how he thinks the level of interference Ishwari does is okay? While I agree that one should always give priority to our parents, a mature adult knows how to give the same importance to your spouse as well. Especially considering how much Sona accomodates.

Not only did Dev want Sona to be just as devoted to his mom as he is but he didn't really reciprocate that with her parents.

I think somewhere Dev and Ishwari think they are the only people ever to make sacrifices for their family and expect others to be in constant awe of that.

Bold- I think his mom sure does have that idea in her head 😂

He wants everyone to be devoted to his mother. His sisters and wife too.

Yes... that's what I said right...they don't bother much about Neha's sacrifices. Only when she points it out do they feel ashamed and come out of their weird bubble. Very selfish people.

If his mother has that idea ....then he must've done everything possible to encourage that idea.

Or maybe it's because he's seen her struggle all these years and doesn't want to give her more pain?

In any case, it's clear where his loyalties lie. It might be as simple as that.

No, we as viewers see it that way.

But according to me, his character was such that he just made a judgement call that his sister wasn't ready to hear the truth. He later on tells her this as well, when she asks him why he didn't say anything.

In general, Mamaji is a passive person who doesn't like to rock the boat much, hoping the storm would simply pass by him without doing much damage. He only looks for the life jacket when the boat is about to drown.

I don't remember the marriage track much, because I hate it with a passion and haven't rewatched it and would never rewatch it. I know Ishwari was just terrible there.

She was so insensitive even before, telling Bijoy that his daughter didn't stay in her boundaries, falling in love with her son. That was just so bad. And convincing Sona to marry Dev just for herself, so Dev won't hate her and not giving a damn about what the girl and her family has gone through, just shows how self-obsessed she was.

Dev loves Sonakshi's parents and is legitimately seems so comfortable in her house, but extending that courtesy to them in his house is something Ishwari won't stand for, and her discomfort is something that Dev won't stand for. In situations where Ishwari isn't involved (or aware), he's so sweet and loving- like when he sent them all Diwali gifts without Sona's knowledge, or all the times he demands to eat lunch/dinner for Asha's cooking. All this is negated when he goes home and tells his mom he hasn't eaten lunch from Sonakshi's because Ishwari has made lunch and waited 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is exactly the core matter.

Dev genuinely does like the Boses and has been very comfortable with them..in fact, I feel he is more easy with them than at his own house. They make him feel light, easy.

But Dev can never let Ishwari know this. No way.
