Ok.. I saw a couple of Ichchee Node episode to understand a gist of what the hell is happening..(My disappointment knew no bounds..)

I did not find it much interesting.. but that is a discussion already completed in various threads..

What I found refreshing in that serial was their song selection.

"Nadiya kinare", "Mera saya", "Shyam teri bansi pukare" ,"Do Naina, ek kahani" and many many more nice classic melodies songs..

Every time these songs were used I was transported to that peaceful place where they were. (It almost made me forget that I was watching a toxic story arc) The direction they took was also simple. Eye pleasing backgrounds and picturesque scenery etc but somehow, I felt the song took much more of importance. The characters with their subtle expressions. It also makes sense since, the FL is a singer, the songs should be given much more importance .

The songs used in YRKKH are mostly sung by "Jonita Gandhi". Most of the songs are her take on classics like "Lag ja gale" and "Piya tose naina lage re". Yeah they are good but I wish they could have more creative with their song selection. I feel that this was somewhat generic. Maybe I am a bit biased, but I feel the the songs were just chosen at a random seeing the Youtube View chart..

But even with the songs being whatever, I feel they took a an unnecessary effort to shoot the song sequences. maybe it is because they have Harshad, and they just want people to faun over him(which they do with or without šŸ˜‰) But, I feel the focus is always more on the scene than the song.

Akhashra's song being the main reason the love story starts, I wish they could have chosen to direct the sequence giving it that much importance.

I would like to clear something.. It is not that I feel the songs are lacking or that I don't think that the singer is bad.

It feels the direction the this serial is focusing on is more on visual spectacle. In the age of VMs, I guess people would like it.. But I think if they took a simpler approach, it would have been more effective.

Its interesting how our minds work.
simply love Kanha and Jaaniye songs.

But we have yet to get Akshara's point of view in this serial. We know nothing about her. She keeps everything bottled up. It would have been nice to know her thoughts through songs.

@bold: I love the Jaaniye song. But that is the official BGM for this couple right. Like Rabba Ve in IPKKND.

It feels really good. the moment I hear that "Ose ki boonde jaise pighle" I start singing along with it.

But I was talking about the songs which Akshara is shown to be singing. And more than the songs, The direction they film the scene makes me feel the importance is more on Harshad and his expressions. (Which are dreamy, I must confess)

But when I saw the original, I felt they shot it in a way I felt the relation between the leads were more on the ethereal level.

I just recorded the Jaaniye song an hr ago and posted.

And yes, Akshara still has not really shown her true feeling on anything other than her love for her family especially her sister.

So we are not getting any of her view points.

THe lead in Icche nodi sang nadiya kinaare herai aai kangna... Those are all semi classical songs and she is shown as an ace shishya of an ace Guru.

Here they have made her as someone who likes to sing but without any ambition as such.

Hence the signature songs and bollywood dream sequences.

They are not exactly following the show since the family and situations are very different.

I dont know what will happen here. although the main theme may remain same.

Yes, the songs used and how they were shot with such simplicity were really commendable... just like you said mesmerizing.... But apart from that.. I did not get hooked up though.. maybe it was not my kinda show
