I want to be in my delululand but if they end the show with that atta scene and no con, I'm going to boycott both SP and SS (unless they cast SaiShi together in another project).

this is why I will forever say that ILU was said too early and they messed up the relationship timeline. They don't know how to write a couple in love, they know how to write tension between a would-be couple. They should've delayed it until after M track, with P figuring out she wants R bc it's R, not bc M is a psycho.

I know Ren disagrees. But I'll always stick by that thought. I still enjoyed everything they should until real M track started, and the moments afterwards, but I have a feeling they would've been FAR better off if they had delayed it.

Audience wants to see tension - that's the exciting part of these romance shows - esp ITV where they can't really show anything. So if they can't give it for a couple who confessed ILU, then they should've delayed that confession.

Fria Raghvi were already in love by the time Mandar came and they had to desperately hold on to their marriage. There was no way they could have delayed the confession, it wouldn't make sense, similar to delaying the con didn't.

What else they could have done is make the falling in love at a slower pace, they did go super fast with that (though it didn't seem too rushed as per mhrw standards but a slower piece could have worked as well). Had Mandar come in earlier then the angst would have worked well.

Sometimes I wished Sicku didn't give into fan demands and ruin the Mandar track. I was one of them who wrote to him for the poorly written track but maybe he had something good in his mind. Idk, we'll never know now. That's why I love the other show we used to discuss about where the channel didn't care about the boycott trends, they kept showing whatever was planned and it's now in top trp race. Lack of focus on the leads Raghvi is another reason why a lot of people lost connect.

And to think saishi would be cast in different projects and different roles doing something like my post on chit chat club depresses me 😔... I only hope for better ph and better writers for their next shows.

I also wish they get decent actors cast opposite them otherwise we would be left comparing sai was so good with shivi or shivi was so good with sai 🙄.

Why does this show spoil all our Mondays.

I am one of those people who enjoyed their confession when it was shown and was happy that they didn't drag it but now looking back it I think it was bad decision and from that point the downfall of show started.

They could have shown pallavi living with deshmukh after mandar returned but yearning to be with Raghav. She couldn't pinpoint why she is missing him this much when she has her dream family with her and also there are no restrictions from raghav and his family for any duty obligations towards them.

How they could have showed that pallavi and raghav marriage is null and voice (in itv world laws) and pallavi realising the severity of the situation that she could lose raghav forever and finally deciding to take the matters in her hands. But then Raghav would have gone back to his ghamandi mode because the one girl he has loved truly isn't sure to come back to him and that would again make him pessimistic. The level of emotional and physical tension they could have shown before that ILU happens

@ 1st bold:

Gonna disagree Ren. With R being so insecure, and P being so caught up in dealing with M, they could've had them worry about their marriage but not necessarily confess yet. The reason the story played out the way it did was because they had the ILU at the start of the track.

P only got the idea to confess bc nail kaand and Krishna giving her the nudge. Otherwise she was confused, not sure what she was feeling. They could've kept that momentum with her figuring it out for herself instead of having someone tell her.

If they had waited then they could've had both R wondering how to keep P as his wife because he knows he loves her, but he doesn't know she loves him. They could have had P wondering what she felt. That REAL internal fight she had of pyaar v. kartavya would've played out a lot better and made a lot more sense.

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE REAL ANGST.

These feelings of trying to hold on to their marriage still would've been there. It was there even before M came back. But we could have seen them fall in love at a slower pace. We could've had more moments, more feelings, etc. I think the lack of seeing them fall in love more etc, stems from having an early ILU.

@2nd bold: PM that show name LOL. I don't know if I'm remembering the right one. But yes - lack of focus on the lead couple will surely tank a show. There's been a severe lack of focus on leads since M track started. I have theories as to why, but I'm not going to voice them here.

Tbh I'm not sure at which point CVs pivoted from what they wanted to show vs what the audience wanted. Could you tell? Was it the "raghvi" promo episode?

See I initially didn't mind the ILU. In fact, I was legit shocked (and happy) when an ITV show had confession done so early on in the show because dragging the ILU track is a done to death trope here. I liked it but in hindsight, I can see why that might've affected the overall viewership of the show. If the M track was introduced without any verbal confession, it'd have done better TRP wise. In that case, the audience could see Raghav and Pallavi were in love but they themselves would've been unaware of each other's feelings. Such tension and suspense usually does well with TRP audience too, because it means external factors can still put a dent in the lead couple's relationship no matter how strongly they feel for each other. After a solid confession from both the leads, there's usually nothing to build life-altering MUs on, other than this current absurd third angle tracks. I still feel torn about it Fria. IDK if we would have gotten those Raghav-Pallavi scenes during the M track (breadcrumbs hi sahi but they were cute) if they hadn't confessed and Mandar going all Tum mere hoooo every two seconds was already hard enough, but yeah, it took out the anticipation factor for many.

Also, if they were planning not to give us even a blurred RaghVi kiss/peck every once in a while, what was the point of a confession so early on, people would obviously expect them to take the next step once confession is out of the way 😳😆

@bold: I think we could have. They don't need to confess to show affection and build up of a relationship. It doesn't need to be the same cheek kisses, etc., but it could've been other things - like a surprise hug. Can you imagine how surprised R would be if P hugged him bc she missed him? He could still try to get close to her - he knows how he feels. Maybe they could have shown he understands that she loves him, but she didn't know how to voice it bc of their past and bc this is all new for her. So many possibilities. How many amazing moments did we get in HYD pre-ILU??

Maybe its just an issue with ITV in general - or SP. They think the audience needs to hear ILU before they build up closeness. And I think that's just not the case. You don't need an ILU to start a relationship or get close to someone in a physical way. In fact, a lot of that happens before ILU anyway.

They started the show with showing so much raw tension between those two that they could've easily went this route ^^ and it would've made sense and made everyone happy. Clearly the writers can barely maintain that same tension for when their couple confesses ILU.

I always enjoyed the ILU scene - loved the dialogues - loved the desperation in which they said it. But to me that desperation could've been shown without the ILU.

@2nd bold: exactly.

Ok what you wrote also makes sense and that angst would have been good. I really wished they slowly did the falling in love stage but I guess the trp talwar was an issue they had due to which it all got messed up.

We only ever discussed one show Fria I thought U'D know of all people. Let me know if the hint is enough so I don't have to take the kasht of PMing u.

I think track changed when they did the swapnil track. Raghvi kya karte hai. But at that point in time, they had too much cringe of Mandar around Pals so I think the viewers needed to see them together.
