That’s the thing he sees how much her own family is disgusted with her. He seems level headed with accepting and being regretful about what he did.

How can he still be with J knowing how much hate she has and how truly selfish she is towards T, her family and his own family. He saw how she behaved through the Simran reveal. This is the same man that understood her games before Tejo did.

This surprise has to be to bring J down back to earth.
