This was such a beautiful piece.... My favorite lines were these two, though,

Tired of the fighting.. tired of being ridiculed and hurt and tired of hurting her.

He can't leave her. Not yet. Not like this. He opens his eyes and surfaces above water and sees her worried face, she's in tears and he smiles.. Smiles at his Chipkali.. His Raavi.

The absolute contrast in Shiva's reaction to her tears within a span of what was probably minutes in real time, was, beautiful.
