So I'm trying to figure out who is more obsessed with the other... Dev with Ishwari or vice versa. Till this point I think it's Dev who is coming across more obsessed with his mother. Obsessed and so deeply tangled in his past woes that anybody who will be close to him other than his family...will end up being collateral damage.

Ishwari at this point is trying to move on from her past... trying to enjoy her beautiful present but it's her son who keeps holding her back. Not saying that she doesn't enjoy the attention, concern or care bestowed upon by her son...but she wants to do it enjoy her present too which is something I don't see in Dev.

It did seem that dev was obsessed but i think by episode 3 it is apparent the Ishwari is even more so. These were the little red flags I missed first but the way she is eyeing who dev is talking to through entirety of the pooja is creepy. Like enjoy the celebration for you DAUGHTERS engagement and let your son live.

I also know later on she sends him off on a wild goose chase becuase she wants to prevent him fro talking to Saloni... like seriously??? and it doesn't end there, I also remember that down the line she makes it clear to Radha rani that she can intervene all she wants in Neha's life but Dev is off limits. Ishwari gets to be the only person making decisions on his behalf/ controlling him.

That was my original "she is going to wreak havoc" realisation

This was a filler episode, creating context. They were establishing both of their lives and families.

The ending conversation between Neha and Ishwari was extremely insightful. It tells us a lot about the kind of woman/mother Ishwari is along with giving valid reasons behind Neha's present behaviour.

Ishwari always wants to know who Dev is talking to and about what 😂

I feel so bad that Dev is ready to give 30% of his hard earned money to a guy just for Neha. And she won't ever appreciate that fact.

I loved Neha in the start but watching it again knowing how she will turn out has made me kinda critical of her 🙈

Why is Dev always so hot 😭😭😭 I forgot this part about S1 because of the way he looked in S3 but 😍😍😍

You know in my first watch I missed this but now seeing all their poverty flashbacks again this scene where he can't find his wallet for the first time i feel it's okay that Dev isn't good at taking care of himself/house stuff

He had to grow up and take over so many responsibilities so soon, so it seems fine if he still is childish in certain aspects

Don't know how long I'll feel this way though as the story progresses

What is this guy's interest in marrying Neha? It is clear that he doesn't love her. Does not agree to her conditions. Then why did he agree to marry? It was tasteless to see how the two men thought that after marriage they could coerce Neha into changing her stance.

Children should always appreciate the efforts put in by the parents. That scene was pleasant. I also understand that not every parent falls into this category. Infact in this show itself...same parent is good and bad for two different children. And they are justified to feel like this. Dev coz his mother gave away everything to make him what he is today and Neha coz things were snatched from her to make room for Dev's necessities. Her losses were his gains. Not just materialistic stuff or education...but she seemed to have grown up with absentee parents too.

Supriya P was so good in that speech scene...the vulnerability she brought in that scene 👍🏼

Being ousted in the middle of the night...is too scary..even if both the parents are alive. That has to leave a long lasting effect on a person. Though it seems that Ishwari thinks that she has suffered and so did her son and Dev too seems to think like that. The thought that a third person was affected too... doesn't seem register often to them. Only when Neha points to to them they feel guilty but do they really believe it? I doubt about Ishwari.

First glimpse of insecurity 😆...but today it was more like a relative keeping tabs on you in a function...which person from the opposite gender is talking to you..what might be their intentions...blah blah.

Saw Sonakshi's mother for the first time...she seems nice. A friend more than a mother. Some light hearted scenes amidst the heavy drama packed scenes.

Ishwari is so clueless about her daughter...GKB seems to have filled in the shoes of a parent/guardian for Neha... whatever be her intentions. Wonder what she will do when she gets to know about Neha's conditions.
