Akshara has every right to be silent. She only ever told she felt something special with Abhi she never told she loved him even to herself. If she had supported him then that also states that she too loves him openly. Her silence was to protect her family no matter what Abhi is a guy who she knew only for two days and still a stranger to her compared to her family. She didn't come to a stage where she would fight for her love.

What Akshara was feeling when she found out the rishta was for Arohi is exactly why she should’ve spoken up. Maybe it is not love, it could be attraction/attachment/liking the truth was she wanted a future with him, she wasn’t happy, she was seen throwing a pillow in agony, she was reminiscing her moments with him, she had doubts whether he liked her back. Although her feelings are not as strong or deep but she feels for him too. That should be enough for her to speak up. But I also understand why she didn’t, behen ka pyaar and ghar ka izzat

I can’t believe that someone would really think it’s a good thing to get two people married, when one of them clearly loves another. Akshara can sacrifice all she wants, but Abhimanyu won’t marry someone he doesn’t love.

But that's my point. Pressurized her to state her feelings one way or another isn't right. If she says yes, then she'll be doing wrong by Arohi (regardless of how Arohi is, it would be very insensitive for her to get hitched up with Abhi when the man rejected her sister in front of the whole family). If she says no, then it's an outright rejection for Abhi (uska dil tootega hi and the Birlas will be even more pissed ki agar ladki ko ladka pasand hi nahi tha toh rishta kyun lekar aaye). If she says she doesn't know, then again, Goenkas ki badnaami hogi.

Akshara keeping quiet was the best option even if it means heartbreak for Abhi. Upar se, even if she does have deep feelings for Abhi, she has known the man for two days, woh bhi adha kacha. The only thing she can be absolutely sure of and support with the utmost confidence is what she feels, not Abhi or his assumptions. And because of this whole damn mess, she would have tempered her own feelings for him. Who knows uske mann mein kya chal ra hoga.

yeah she took right decision to remain silent...because from her side she was not in love with abhi .....she was crying a dat before engagement and was thinking that she is in pain but dont know why
