I really doubt that’s the reason; Nagarjuna’s family is pretty progressive and they must’ve discussed this when they got married. And Samantha used a body double in the scene.

My theory: Supposedly Chai strays, a lot. Always figured theirs was an open marriage but maybe he strayed one too many.

50C is a drop in the bucket for them. They won’t loose a single nights sleep.

Yeah even I thought that but heard from an insider that Chai is very careful about getting caught. Only heard it from 1 person though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Lol. I said yesterday that he strays; someone asked me not to spread ‘utter bullshit’.

If it’s a celebrity; my guess on whome it is: Divyanshu Kaushik. The second lead in Majili.

She was absent throughout the promotions of Majili. Rumor was it that Samantha made sure to separate Chai and her. I think there was a blind on one of the major Telugu sites as well back then.

Round about the time, I got some insider info that Chai strays. That was the first and last time I got such info.

Exactly my point. He is very conscious about his family reputation, won't do anything to drag his family into controversy. (Btw I am not saying he can't cheat, he can and probably he did) But this whole divorce episode has brought Chay and the whole family at the centre of discussion. This is why I think it is Sam who has initiated this divorce.

And Chay seems a smart guy who knows his limits very well. Their relationship was hyped by media, I am sure he was aware of the consequence of the announcement, that's why they waited till the flim release. (Most probably it was him who made the request) And Sam is no ordinary star-wife, she is super successful (more successful than her husband) and an independent lady. Unlike others she won't tolerate any mischief. So I am assuming he knew what is coming.

Have you seen Love storys PRE release event ? The one Amir attended ? Chiranjeevi put Pallavi in a tough spot by subtly taking digs at her for rejecting his movie ! . He did it in a playful way ,but his intentions were very clear , the Mega family is pissed with her for not signing their movies . She ended up touching his feet to placate him , it was so uncomfortable to watch .

THIS!! It was during the success bash for "Most Eligible Bachelor". 100%! Payback for turning down the movie. If he forgot her name in the moment, he could have apologized and asked the audience / phoned a friend ...

When Naga's name comes up, the default position is his cheater rep. It doesn't matter how good an actor he is (he may be past his prime but still good), his fate is sealed. Smart guy Chay would know this. Now, Chay himself was married to a woman considered more successful as an actor than himself, and his acting ability was slated. He, however, had a good guy reputation going for him. If he was really concerned about bringing dishonour on the family and destroying his rep, the very last thing he should have done was cheat. Why cheat? He didn't need Sam for fame, love, to keep the home fires burning, financial security, kids. They had a pre-nup in place: no danger of splitting the family assets. Why stay or stray?

She has complained in the past of him not allowing her to post (more) couple pics on her insta acc. She needed the photos for the PR, he didn't. Any divorce between star couples, especially one so largely unexpected, whatever the motivation for the divorce, would have resulted in the coverage and speculation. It would have diluted the focus on Love Story release which apparently had already been postponed for a year due to pandemic effects. He apparently asked her to postpone the announcement for the very reason. She agreed.

Thankfully, they split before they had children. I suspect that weighed heavily on Chay, namely bringing a child into a marriage when all was not well, whatever the source of the unhappiness. FM2 is beginning to sound more of a catalyst than a cause.

Comments on Superstar Sam for another post. Before the divorce announcement, my default position was that Sam was more successful than Chay because she was a better actress and a harder worker. The more I read post divorce from old articles, the less I am convinced it is as straight forward as that.

Ya! Sam's PR was worth its weight in saffron.

That and CASTE . He belongs to a community which is majority in AP . Almost 40 percent of Ap population .

Ugh ! It's definitely intentional . What an asshole . More power to Pallavi , she is someone who doesn't just do any movie for the sake of money. She is very picky with her characters and she should be ! I hope she doesn't succumb to their pressure .

Pallavi may have respected him, but the poor gir was nervous and tensed the entire time . Chiru shouldn't have done that .

Chiru may have genuinely admired her , he is not as egoistic as Allu , but he wasn't happy she declined his movie .

The actresses can't be as egoistic as the actors, because they are all outsiders unlike the actors . They cant be even if they want to lol .

I kind of liked her early in her career . I didnt follow her much after that . My friend who has been a huge fan of her thinks she has changed over the years and doesn't like her as much anymore .

People are saying it's Sam's loss as she doesn't have any family support anymore but in my opinion not only Sam, this divorce episode has destroyed (if not completely) Chay's reputation as well. This good guy, good husband thing was actually working in his favour. (Even I started liking him only after his marriage and I know I am not the only one)

Why would he take this huge risk? (That's why I am curious to know if he indeed cheated on her than who is she? Is she worth of this risk taking?)

2. Unlike others Chay never used his personal relationship for publicity (I liked it) rather Sam did.

And yes.. had he been so bothered about his family reputation he would have not married to Sam in the first place (she is an actress and an independent woman)

2 Nagarjuna's family is pretty chill . Nagarjunas second wife is an actress too . They are less traditional than other tollywood families .

As for family's reputation , Nag has always been in the news for his " alleged " affairs even after his 2 marriage . At one point of time , people linked Anuska Shetty with both Naga chaitanya and Nagarjuna ! That was the only time Nagarjuna reacted , because it was just gross to link up father and son with the same woman

Honestly , Divorce / affairs don't affect men's careers in TFI . He will be fine . I thought Samantha is going to suffer the consequences, but she seems to be doing fine and still friends with powerful people in the industry .

Their marriage did give them some publicity and Commercials ,but career wise I doubt it benefitted either of them, especially him.

3) Things have cooled down already . People are going to react only when one of them gets into a new relationship , they will blame that partner for the divorce lol.

I am curious to know whom they are going to date next .

I finally got to the end of "U-turn". Even Bhumika's cameo, Rahul's voice and the rest of the supporting cast could not rescue this movie from the damage Sam inflicted on it - she was so boring, the movie should have come with a warning. Doing her own dubbing was really a very bad idea.

She once said that she wanted to do her own dubbing so she could be a complete actress. Well, for all the fanfare and adulation she receives, she isn't going to meet her own benchmark for a complete actress anytime soon. She really needs a voice coach.

There was an article on her about Day 1 of the dubbing for "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", namely that she was excited about doing it. Fast forward, dubbing for Sam for SVSC is credited to Chinmayi.

The same occurred at the time of the "Oh Baby!" dubbing. The excuse then given for Chinmayi arriving to the rescue was something along the lines of the her younger and older selves needing to have the same Godavari accent.

Excuses, excuses!

Chinmayi also did the voice-overs for a lot of Sam's Ads!

IMO, Jessie's voice in YMC defined the character. It came as a huge shock when I finally heard Sam speak. I had to play YMC again to make sure I hadn't imagined The Voice.

Sam definitely benefited career-wise from the marriage. Chay also probably benefited from cross-over support from Sam's fan-base. What I have noted about Chay's fans who have commented on his movies is that Masala movies aren't their staple, they tend to be niche and like his range of movie selections

That's good! I don't think whoever Sam dates next will be blamed. It is whoever Chay dates next who will blamed. Her stylist's comments have had the desired effect. Do you know when exactly the stylist posted his comment (I could only see the time stamp, not the date)? I could only find two independent sources of the cheating rumours on Reddit: one from a person whose only two posts are about the cheating (hit and run) and another who said to take what he/she had heard from a third party with a pinch of salt. Did you find any other independent sources?
