Babul Supriyo was a favorite of the Television World. He sung for superhit shows like Kasauti and Kahiin to hoga back in the early 2000s.😊

Omg the song you shared is from that thriller movie where Arjun Rampal fakes to be blind right lol. I can’t remember the rest of the plot but that song is beautiful and made me nostalgic!! I loveee Babul Supriyo’s voice on every song, I don’t know why he didn’t make it as big as he deserved although him and Jatin-Lalit had a very close relationship.

That is because his voice was very similar to Kumar Sanu. He gave lot of hits but his lack of uniqueness cost him lot of projects later when newer, fresher voices like Kunal Ganjawala, Atif Aslam, Arijit, Shaan etc came on the scene. Otherwise Babul Supriyo was very popular in 1999-2002 phase.

In last few years he shifted focus from playback singing to politics and became a union minister as well, so naturally people hear less of him in music now.
