Never knew he was gay, anyways, congrats to him
Noooooo this means I have no chances 😭
Never knew Kal was gay.
Anyways, all the very best to him.
"Never knew he was gay"
Do we also say this about straight actors when they announce their marriage? I've never heard someone say "Never knew he was straight"
So we assume everyone is straight is it? We need to unlearn that bit.

We assume everyone is straight because that's the default. No need to get so hyper over something so trivial.

While a large majority of humans do seem to be straight and it appears quite reasonable to accept it as the default, it is not. More than the default, it is the norm. If people weren’t afraid of it or what people would do to them if they aren't straight, we would have a lot more people who do not feel straight.
Sexuality is a spectrum and cannot be seen in binaries. To assume everyone is straight is blithely ignorant, at best. But feel free to do so anyway.
It's raining celeb relationship announcements these days 😆

Can you please calm down? And please do read. I never said, "EVERYONE is straight". I said straight is the 'default' in our society, so people will always assume that one is straight unless specified otherwise.
