The fact that the other insults had been borne by her silently made them think any insult can be heaped on her. Baa was in shock too like vanraj. Both of them were expecting that they will butcher her character, taunt her, harass her to satisfy their ego and vent out their frustration and anu will take it all like always. That scene was really funny and not needed. Even what bapuji did was weird to me. The only part that made me numb almost was the background of Baghban and Anupama leaving. The makers choose such specific lines - the truth that the ghosla is about to witness now
