I have been keeping an eye on that since the 18 Aug event.

After that event, he has never done that in any interaction that we have seen. And even in that event he always bad his arms around both the artists.

Also in the last 2 months we have consistently seen Arunita having a great sense of comfort and joy around the entire Octopus crew including Raj Surani - in every video or picture we have seen.

So if there really was something fishy about him then at least it is not evident anywhere.

I am just stating what I thought I found as a formula for success - because success is very important in the initial years.

So, if I was making a new duet for Arunita I would try and use a song that gives her upfront time. She does not need to hog the song, just get in at at the start.

I feel it makes a lot of difference to the response.

Partly because Arunita has a fan following which is focused only on her singing. I now think it is a very large and very Arunita-focused set of people who just want to listen to her. Even her Doraemon piece has 1.7M people asking for more!
You must exploit that when you are trying to establish yourself. Otherwise you may be missing a trick.

I think as someone who dealt with money and how to get the most out of it. So pardon the fixation with getting returns from investment as a key business strategy! 😃

I don't think there is any artist who doesn't have an exclusive set of followers, but equally there will be those who will be willing to view through a different lens as I mentioned above.

No debate on maximising ROI - just that there are different points of view on how long term ROI can be maximised.

I am not expert in analysis but it seems to me Aru's solo is maintaining same viewing rate as Manzoor Dil currently even after 10 days!!

I understand HR is a factor but Manzoor Dil was promoted thousand times heavier than the solo.

The Manzoor Dil needs to pick up now, otherwise it could be gone 😔

I studied all her top duets. They have the same formula.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is just fan bias? It is likely fan bias to a large extent but I hate the wait for her lines to come and many others may feel the same way.

Even HR discovered this after the first duet single😆. There is a reason he gave her a solo. Arunita has a lot of casual fans and a lot of interest from the Public. I don't think the Public cares for the romance thing, they like Arunita the singer and that's what gets supported.

I have realized now that all those promotions add up to maybe 500K views. Those views are supposed to be seed for sharing and further growth. But for that the song has to click. What clicks in a song is a mystery that only people like HR, T-Series etc. have cracked to an extent.
I also feel that Idols get a lot of old fan support for their initial releases post the show. After that the audience/fans become more discerning. So the song has to click with the general public, not fans.
In this case it has still not clicked with people unconnected with the duo as a song is my guess.
Perhaps, if it trends it will find those viewers. If only hardcore fans watch it then it may underperform.
And it is not the visuals. The song is not making any great waves on streaming platforms. I checked.

Let us be fair. The song is good. It has a purpose. The execution is good.
Arunita can't sell a poor song with just her skills. Not even Shreya can!
