Aru is an individual singer and she was not treated properly in the first MV of Octopus. As a result the song will not be a big hit as expected imo. I think the viewership will slow down significantly after the initial excitement is over. I will be happy if I am proven wrong.

However, this is the first song and I hope Octopus will focus on capitalizing Aru's singing talent instead of focusing on so called funny 'Arudeep' concept. Use of real life name in the MV was really very cheap!

PD sang well. As a new music composer, the duo will get pass mark from me. Aru had a little scope to demonstrate her capacity. She was under utilized in the song and over exposed in the video.

P.S.: I believe Aru has showed with Piyaji ki saang that she is able to grow her career as an individual singer without depending on any 'jodi' concept. 😊

It has already lost all steam and will struggle to make 2.5M in 24 hours.

Unless it trends it will slip fast.

I hope it picks up soon. We will know more as the day progresses.

It is my opinion that the formula for a successful duet with Arunita requires that she comes on early in the song with significant opening lines.
I studied all her top duets. They have the same formula.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is just fan bias? It is likely fan bias to a large extent but I hate the wait for her lines to come and many others may feel the same way.

Reading aru fans comments on other sites, they seem disappointed . No wonder views are not increasing as much

I haven't done that analysis, but it is inevitable that in a long career ahead of her there will be songs where she has the opening portion, and songs where she comes in later. A duet depends on the situation after all and not just on the individual artist. So I for one try to approach listening to duets from that lens rather than for an individual artist.

Surprising for me. I believe she has done very well in the song as well as the video. The mark of a good artist, in my opinion, is not about the amount of air time they get but the inpact they make from whatever air time they get. I feel she has made a significant impact on both the singing and the video, and whatever success this song may achieve would not be possible without that - at least as an equal measure compared to PD and Ashish, if not more.

Some people were talking about how the way raj suhani touch aru's shoulders when talking to media is creepy, they don't like it etc

No debate on that.

I am just stating what I thought I found as a formula for success - because success is very important in the initial years.

So, if I was making a new duet for Arunita I would try and use a song that gives her upfront time. She does not need to hog the song, just get in at at the start.

I feel it makes a lot of difference to the response.

Partly because Arunita has a fan following which is focused only on her singing. I now think it is a very large and very Arunita-focused set of people who just want to listen to her. Even her Doraemon piece has 1.7M people asking for more!
You must exploit that when you are trying to establish yourself. Otherwise you may be missing a trick.

I think as someone who dealt with money and how to get the most out of it. So pardon the fixation with getting returns from investment as a key business strategy! 😃
