Let me give my opinion as a viewer who did not know who is Pratik, where he came from, OTT contestant whatever. I am a Big Boss viewer though and I believe that every Pratik, Karan, Nishant even the commoners who have come into the house deserve fair play. What they do in the house from day one to the day they survive matters.
Now Pratik, leaving aside Kundra's slam move(which is wrong and I don't justify it despite liking Kundra's game overall), you will have to agree that this season began with Pratik's unwarranted and not-required physical aggression(breaking glass whatever). It is also true that his actions do prevent others from having a fair chance at playing(captaincy task).
If today we are seeing housemates ganging up against him, it is not something out of the blue. I would have even sympathized with him today seeing him all emotional and cornered had he tried to do something other than being destructive, snatching, breaking or anything.
Do I see him making alliances and strategies for survival? No.
Did I see him convincing others for captaincy? No. Jay and Nishat both tried.
Do I see him working his way up using his brains and not brawns? No.
Kundra's move was wrong. His justification was even worse. But has that improved Pratik's position in my eyes? No.
That's my opinion..feel free to disagree
1) The notion that he is the one always ruining tasks is incorrect. As pointed out by Nishant, the nomination task 4th round was deliberately sabotaged by Kundrra and group which resulted in 7 persons getting nominated instead of 4. At least when Pratik broke glass, it was an instinctive act done in a fit of rage that got others nominated and not a deliberate act. There was no way he could know BB would punish others and not him. There has been no task this season that has been cancelled because of him.
2) Regarding snatching and stealing during tasks, EVERYONE has been doing it not only in this season but also in previous seasons. As a viewer, I find Umar doing this more than Pratik in this season. But because he belongs to Kundra gang, people dont make an issue out of it.
3) Regarding concept of fair or unfair play in tasks, you are a fool if you think tasks in BB are designed for fair play and sportsman spirit. The concept of having a sanchalak with all the power to decide the winner is unfair in itself. Sanchalak is never neutral and always favours the group which he/she is friends with. Eg. Do you think Vishal's team won the task last week fairly? Shamita gave them more sugarcanes in every round. On top of that, Karan's team were targeted by the other two teams. How is that playing fair? So atleast BB tasks mein fair or unfair ki baat karna is stupid.
4) Do I see him making alliances and strategies for survival?
Did I see him convincing others for captaincy?
Do I see him working his way up using his brains and not brawns?
The above questions do not even matter in the context of winning the show because at the end of the day, the one who connects with the audience the most wins or goes to the finale or whatever. If only these three things mattered, Vishal Kotian and Nishant Bhat would be the frontrunners for the trophy and topping all polls on social media. As it stands, they are nowhere near that.
5) I do feel that contestants are ganging up on him but that is not the reason I am choosing to support him by default. Its the fact that he refuses to give up inspite of that and did not crib about it, the fact that he could have easily used Nishant to win this task but instead told him to remain fair, these are the qualities that are making me and many others see him as a hero. Target to Donal ko bhi kiya ja raha tha but she wilted under the pressure. Thats why she is outside and Pratik is still inside and will probably go on to win the show.
