Pyaar ka bookha, only love matters to them, no matter how irrational... We saw Raavi going on about her self respect so much, but she still came back, still does tiny little things for Shiva on an everyday basis....

Another thing would be the complete trust she has on him despite anything and everything that's happened between them... And I find that to be another beautiful aspect of their relationship... It allows her that ability to be childish with him in a way she isn't with anyone else... Sigh...

Love this perspective. This is the essence of their character.

And I really hope makers don't ruin it.

Shiva's character as of now stands questionable. Hope Raavi's trust is not abused on the name of jealousy & some accountability is added on Shivas.

I LOVEd how Alice portrayed confusion, jealousy, fear, a hint of Betrayal looking at him.

I liked How Shiva assured her with blink- though no reaction even after knowing she knows the truth is still not digestible. It shows him kind of fearless, that he know whatever he does- this Dobi will trust him, he can control her feelings.

I am taking the creative liberty of the show makers with a pinch of salt.

I am trying to present another point of view in the perpetual battle between the matters of the heart & the laws of the land. The beauty of fiction is its distant detachment and various emotions it evokes during its journey. Pieces of fiction on ITV have strong moral yardsticks given the reach of the households as such. Any debauchery draws flak, criticism and strong reactions, and rightfully so. In our society, women and their status are ambiguous, and any caricaturish representation further normalises such behaviour against them. Raavi DESERVES better and not this!!! That's a fact! My heart melts to see the girl doomed right from the word GO!

As a distant piece of fiction or characters, I like the current track except for the nasty being legally married on paper. But, such things happen in life. I know of someone who was waiting for A formal sign-on divorce to be stamped. She went on a mad liaison with someone during that period, and it just helped her cope better with the downward spiral of low self-esteem. Was it right? Maybe not! But she felt better. Her sanity was preserved.

I like Shiva as a compelling character, not because of his questionable hypocrisy but because of the layers are given to him in the grey too! He is idiotic, chaotic, hypocritical, boxed, chauvinist and loving with a heart full of passion. He makes you hate him with Shiddat.

I was watching a video interview of Alankrita Shrivastava where she stressed the fact that subversive characters need not be necessarily Morally correct.

So, taking everything with a pinch of salt.

If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Validation, acceptance & Matters of the Heart in the context of Shiva:

Human beings from thousands of years have always sought confirmation, approval and being loved for what they are. Whether it was a validation for the choice of mate, later guarantee for being strong enough when they started living in communities, and then the peer pressure to look a certain way to be accepted as per society happened.

In short validation, acceptance is at the core of every human being. While we may be greatly upset with that peck and Shiva’s nonchalant peaceful reaction, it doesn't negate the fact that it did give him a miniscule second of relief and sense of peace that maybe he deserves to be accepted the way he is.

That sense of peace when you are spiralling downward in the muddy whirlpool of self-doubt, misery and insecurity. That sense of reassurance calms down frazzled nerves and gives a renewed feeling of tranquillity.

Does that mean one falls in love or commits emotional infidelity? Maybe no!
Does that give a sense of confidence? Yes
Does this help in self-preservation? Yes

Does it help to move on? No, it doesn't. Only time does. Despite being validated, nurtured and loved during this catapulted spiral, the sunken and punctured hollowness of the heart remains trapped in the debris of a broken relationship.

Disha walking in between the madness that already exists between Shivi further adds fuel to the fire that consumes them.

Marriage for them is not their making or breaking point, it just gave a focussed dimensional plane to their world where everything else around them ceases to exist.

Disha has been introduced as a perfect foil to Raavi:
1. Someone who appreciates Shiva for who he is, and for becoming someone whom she desires
2. Someone who chooses him Out of choice and not in a forced situation or compromise.

3. Someone who is grounded and with her feet on the ground contrasts with Raavi, who is supposed to be an airhead.
4. Someone who likes bad boys as compared to gentlemen in case of Raavi. That's another story that Shiva is a bad boy only when it comes to Raavi. As per Raavi ‘woh hath piche karke Good boy ki tarah Disha se chipka tha😆’

In short, the facets of compatibility and Sukoon for Shiva has been set, in contrast with the Junoon and madness with Raavi.

Shiva & Disha, furthermore winning the contest, will deliberately create a plot point where Compatibility Vs compromise will come up.

That again presets the tone for “matters of the heart vs the laws of the land.’

Shivi defies logic, compatibility and yet their world exists around each other. It's complex, but no matter how hard they try, destiny keeps them together like a moth to a flame.

On papers, it adds a piece of surrealism to their romance and relationship, which is complicated, twisted, bizarre and may not make sense. But, that's how they are - without-fathom, insane and two people in a parasitic relationship with each other.

Is it an ideal relationship? No
Do they belong with each other? For us, maybe no, but they ‘BELONG TO EACH OTHER’

Shiva wants her to CLAIM him! And, that's his zid. Today’s song did summarise him: Ek dil hai, ek jaan hai, dono tujh pe qurbaan hai!

No matter how much compatibility, compromise and love for a gentleman crops up, they are idiots who have a universe of their own.

Who would give a law to lovers? Love is unto itself a higher law.

Boethius,

Loved your perspective Piu.❤️

Boethius,

Beautiful perspective! I don't know if the makers really intended it this way, but marriage on papers or laws seems to matter neither to Shiva nor to Raavi. They only care about themselves and them belonging to each other

Something that has been on my mind and bugging me a lot just like shiva these days..

We all sympathise with ravi..because she is literally going thru a lot. She ate up her ego and selfrespect for caring for dhara..and has been working like a slave in that house full on maid mode along with the constant taunts and accusations of suman on her being the sole cause for shivas insecurity and the slap and worst of all..even her broken mqrrg with dev is her incapability to see thru dev...

The girl is literally ridiculed and humiliated when her previously proven guilty sister , blame her for being suspicious on her intentions ..and rather than giving a thought abt why she would blame her own sister, everyone humiliates her again and says all kinds of hurtful words and her husband shiva, who was always suspicious abt this women, remains mum and doesn't give a rats ass if his wife is hurt or humiliated..

And after all this, a women comes in shivas life and this girl is made to feel jealous ,insecure, low about herself, humiliated , laughed upon by public for her stupid actions regarding the new women who can take away her husband..

And now the women who is her supposed to be the pillar of strength during this lonely tough times, who ridiculed her by asking how would she feel if she was accused of having illegitimate feelings for gombi, dev shiva or krish..when she clearly knows ,how she and shiva was separated all becz of her feelings for dev..and insulting her with that again..

And again this sister, wants the girl to work and win her husband shiva so that she can prove to a nobody how she and shiva are made for each other..

Now the point of my post is...all these are facts which needs sympathy..but what r the reactions from Raavi..she is not hurt..she doesn't care when no one finds her trust worthy in anithas matter. She doesn't mind when dhara humiliates her like that for anithas matter..instead she said dhara and gombis mind are like mineral water. 🤪(Yea..just adulterated)

She is jealous and fighting..but why doesn't she question them..why doesn't she question anyone..why is ema taken so lightly in that house?..

Why doesn't she question suman.

Why doesn't she question shiva( and not in a comedy way)

Why is she not hurt by this..rather she just looks like a lost girl who wants to get her broken toy back in her possession though she hardly knws how to play with it..

I am not bashing ravi..but I seriously dnt know how can we sympathise with a girl who can't see and feel for herself how she is being wronged..

That’s the main problem Deeps, they have never shown Raavi’s point of view. And if they give her some it’s always left incomplete. So we are never shown, what she feels.

Beautifully summarised however Q?

As we all know Raavi has abondonment issues, if Shiva and Disha wins the competition she will feel more dejected and how do you expect her to claim Shiva? According to her Shiva doesn’t want her in her life and hence divorce.

Vaishu, it's not even about her pov..she has no response to it..thats the problem..we always thought what was missing was her monologue. But what if there was nothing in her mind to have a monologue about. She simply dnt care..she doesn't care when she is not trusted.. doesn't care when she is humiliated and taunted..doesn't care why her broken relationship has been made into a joke by everyone she calls her family. The max hurt she has is the sad music that plays..after that it's zilch.. She has no hurt big enough to act or even cry on it..forget monologue..any women/men would be hurt so bad..why has ravi became a robot..and unreactive..isn't she even human.

Exactly Deeps! It's credit to the actor and our understanding of the character that we're sympathizing with Raavi..

I was hoping for Raavi to react the way Shiva would have at the kiss, but she did not. No wonder no one takes her seriously. She herself doesn't take herself seriously.

I have been wanting a monologue from her about her feelings, her marriage, her life, Shiva since so long, but nothing. She either reacts to Shiva or reacts to dhara. That's all she does.

Pathetic treatment of her character. If a comedy bgm is played for her every single time, then how can we take her seriously? I don't think the makers wants us to take Raavi, her actions or her reactions seriously

Boethius,

interesting Point of view ... I would have appreciated this Disu track had it been introduced POST divorce.

Current adultery just doesn't work for me as a woman, mother, sister, mentor.

Further deliberation maybe:

Disha has been introduced as a perfect foil to Raavi:
1. Someone who appreciates Shiva for who he is, and for becoming someone whom she desires _

How much Do we really know Disha? She said onvce & we are supposed feel she is the best. Raavi has never asked Shiva to be a gentleman- Shiva thinks Raavi likes gentleman. If we selectively avoid that aspect, is that fair to Raavi's character? Infact didn't raavi asked him in haveli post birthday, in reception- What has happened to you? Why your reactions are different?

2. Someone who chooses him Out of choice and not in a forced situation or compromise.

She chooses him? She stalked him, stalked a married man. Perhaps is prepped up by Suman kanta & was quick enough to make sure to claim him with quick peck. is this choice or is this desperation? I cannot see her as if She is the savior for poor Shiva. Shiva's likes, feelings are based on what? How will he justify his likes/dislikes for Raavi compared to Disha?

3. Someone who is grounded and with her feet on the ground contrasts with Raavi, who is supposed to be an airhead.

Raavi was dreamy, but post dev fiasco- She has been completely on the ground. Else she would not return. Though she claims it is for Dhara, how come we never further think for Raavi, that part of it was for Shiva too. She has admitted her uski hona chahti hoon, she has had sleepless nights post-divorce notice. We never give lineancey to Raavi as much as Disha is being given!

4. Someone who likes bad boys as compared to gentlemen in case of Raavi. That's another story that Shiva is a bad boy only when it comes to Raavi. As per Raavi ‘woh hath piche karke Good boy ki tarah Disha se chipka thasmiley36

Shiva thinks Raavi likes Gentleman- Shiva never thinks why Raavi was wanting to start dosti se shuruat. Shiva claims bachapan ke har hisse mein raavi se ladai ke kisse- But still doesn't get it they were there because she finds comfort in 'merawala gunda'

Raavi was correct here- He was being a 'gentleman' with Disha. Disha likes gentleman badboys.

💯

This is what I have felt too..why don't we get serious reactions from her like we get from Shiva. Why are her reactions either passive, robotic or comical all the time? How can one take a girl like that seriously?

If the reason we don't get her monologue is because there is nothing in her brain regarding the issue then I don't know what to say at all
