Tracing Aditya's full cycle to Imlie love

I am bored to death of Malini and her baby drama. It feels like I am watching some other show. So this is just a topic to have some fun and discuss old times with other viewers of the show. No right or wrong answers. Just post your thoughts about when you think Aditya fell in love with Imlie.

Here are my thoughts on Aditya's full cycle to love...

Amusement/Bewilderment - When Imlie burst out of the hay and left him whirling. When Imlie ranted about marrying off kittens (foreshadowing!) on the Pakdandiya road if she wished it. When she made faces at him and then later when she punctured his motorcycle tire.

Interest - Imlie on the boat and then dancing with other girls at the mela. He keeps clicking photos of her for keepsakes. Imlie talking about her ambitions in the hut and how he is lucky to be her first photographer.

Worry for her - Her decision to save him by marrying him. He says over and over that she's so young and doesn't know what she's getting herself into.

Distaste - Misunderstanding her reason to go to the city and the whole marriage business.

Responsibility - When he leaves her at the NGO and then turns back to see her in trouble. His first reaction is to say, hey, that's my wife!

Trust - Fight against his family about Imlie's honesty and inability to be a thief.

In each other's confidence - Their secret chats during his wedding to Malini.

Concern - About what she wants in life. Is it education? But he also wants to know if she is falling for him cause that would be messy. Then he wants her to get her education and marry.

Doubt - When she leaves and he can't face it.

Need - When he goes after her to the bus station and then Pakdandiya.

Attraction - First meeting after another motorcycle bump.

Anger - That she would turn him down, push him away, and not return to the city.

Possessiveness/Jealousy - All things Prakash. Need I say more?

Support - Teaching and taking her to the exam. Fighting for her.

Love - Sindoor as yaad when he faces the possibility of not seeing her again. Hand on heart (awww).

Self-abandonment - When he willingly joins the puja.

Acknowledgement - The confession and hug.

A new path - Old age regrets dream after seeing Mithi with Dev. (Random note: How gorgeous was he in glasses!!?)

Miss me - His hope at Imlie's return.

Wife/Partner-in-crime - Holi play and return.

Those are how I saw the show. When do you think Aditya fell in love?

What i feel Adi dint know what is love before meeting with Imlie

Love is a beautiful feelings which he felt with imlie only in first time

also with Imlie he could discover himself ,his innerself, his freedom but with Malini he was caged ..

so he badly fall in love with imlu

oh wow. what a wonderful topic. I always saw Adi's love for Imlie going through the quintessential seven stages

Dilkashi (attraction) - I think there was always an attraction tp the childlike innocence and exuberance Imlie had... all those photographs from the river and the mela come to mind.

uns (attachment) this is one stage that Adi has had long since. be it when he defended her from mrs chaturvedi multiple times, during the wedding, feeling for her whenever she's been hurt, going to her ignoring Malini during the bridge collapse, searching for her when she wasn't home.

ishq (love) - realization of this and naming this took Adi the longest time. he was struggling for the longest time to put a name to and understand exactly what he felt for Imlie. the understanding of exactly what he felt came in that conversation in the hut.. the confession and hug ... sigh what moments they were.

akidat (trust) - this was tough in the beginning.. that she'd not blurt out the truth you his family. but I think somewhere this existed the longest... when there family thinks Imlie has stolen the family jewels and escaped, Adi is the only one who trusts Imlie. all through their relationship he's trusted her in almost all matters except for M, where he has a blindspot.

ibadat (worship) giving his relationship that status where he does things he doesn't believe in. that for me was when Adi worshipped his relationship. when he stayed and hurt himself trying to keep the diya lit by Imlie alight... hurting himeself in the process .

trying to keep the fact that he was bit by a snake so she can go to the exam and eventually disregarding his pain to take her. he places this relationship with Imlie above all others as proved by him multiple times. whenever he does something out of character , its always been for her. just the souvenir of her sindoor smeared on his shirt and the way he kisses it and worships it.

junoon (madness) - oh boy , that ganna bashing scene in the forest, that mad jealousy about prakash, the feeling that causes him to chase her every time she leaves him or even thinks about it. that total recklessness when she's concerned

maut (death) - that feeling of giving up everything if she's not around. he fell sick coz she was ignoring him. another time, he fell unconscious when he thought she'd left him. he has faced near death situations multiple times, but hasn't given up ever. it's only when he thinks she's leaving or going away from him that he gives up wanting to live.

I think he was amused by her starting with the first bump itself . Foreshadowing of How his life was to completely turn upside down with her arrival in his life .

Even her small conversations interested her .You are truely in love when u let go of urself in the truest of sense.

From the first conversation itself u can see how he let loose of his stiff personality and joined the antics of Imlie by distracting villagers .

Even on their cycle ride he hesitated at first but she made him forget his serious patrakar image and made him experience pagdandiya ki Mati ka feel .

The forced marriage just made his ego overshadow his feelings bt he always cared for her for the smallest things .

During entire marriage his eyes was in her and the pain he was causing her bt his ego stopped him from making ryt decision.

All the times he left her in pagdandiya he felt he was doing wrong bt the thought of losing her faded that ego of his and he could see things a bit more clearly.

His jumping over Malini to save Imlie was his choice of who his priority has been all along

His ego faded more and he started seeing the imlie he met in pd whose sole purpose was to excel in life .He wanted the best for her bt that ego of his still made him push her away by saying she shud marry someone else .

One truely knows one's importance in life when they r away from them and when Imlu finally left he realised what she meant but wanted to confirm it.

Pd is where he finally goes through all the feelings and allowed himself to feel them by letting his ego go and being himself for the first time . He accepted her anger ,felt jealous, wanted to be with her every second .The Aditya who ran from his engagement due to his work is running towards imlie in guise of work.

The hut was when he finally realised he couldn't let go of her and has to tell her .

How beautiful was that.

Aditya has not been same since then .He missed her wanting to spend every sec of his life with her .

Yes, he definitely did not know love. Whatever that lukewarm thing was with Malini, it was not love.
