What is wrong with Imlie?

I am sorry for the rant, but WTF is wrong with Imlie? I don't even want to blame Malini, because at this point, it is Imlie's stupidity that is causing her all this trouble. Does she have no self-respect? Why is she intent on taking care of Malini as if Malini is some five year old who is so nadaan that she can't even take her medicine on time? Imlie has so much else going for her. She wants to be an IPS officer right? So why can't she focus on her studies, both for college and for UPSC prep? Does she even plan on pursuing her dreams? She is so so young, why is she wasting her life on all this BS? And how dare Aditya scold Imlie for not reminding Malini? What is wrong with him? I wanna tear my hair out after watching today's episode.

Imlie should leave this house and leave Adi and Malini to play house together. Study well, pursue your passions, go travelling a bit (in a Corona free world), go for a semester exchange (If the baby is born, then I assume Imlie won't even overseas for semester exchange, because she is its choti ma??? Can someone tell me what is going on?), and then finally meet somebody who will love her for her and will her the importance she deserves? Seriously this is getting too much now.

I wrote a rant about something similar too. It is sickening that she is shown to be maternal because it is some kind of Indian audience value for motherhood. The Indian audience likes motherhood in a woman when the baby is hers! 4 Lions doesn't seem to get, they are out to make a Mother Teresa out of a 19 year old who apparently is so much in love with her husband that she is happy to love a baby of rape between her husband and her sister. Being fair to a child is not the same as suddenly committing to being mother to it when it already has a mother!

This girl with huge potential is shown as sacrificing it all for a sexist, classist Tripathi family who were keen on helping her only when she was a naukrani, but really showed their true colors when she became their equal through her marriage. That goes to show the hypocrisy of people who talk liberalism, but can't practice it. Why would a girl, brought up by a man like Sattyakam lie back and be a doormat to these people?

Let's not forget Aditya Tripathi for whom she is willing to accept even his child with her sister because "it is part of him." That only applies if the man already had children and then you fell in love, no woman in her right mind anywhere would be happy with her husband having babies with other women after marriage. The level of sickness of this "choti maa" thing just makes me want to throw up. Why should a 19 year old overlook all her dreams to keep up with a wedding with a guy who is having a baby with her sister - assault or no assault? She needs to walk out until Malini loses this baby and is smoked out of this house. Then Aditya needs to crawl to bring Imlie back. Just having some pasta-date doesn't cover it. His character is being ruined as an entitled guy who can just shrug off the unintentional cheating by balancing the two wives against each other.
