'Vivaah on Zee' - Article

Not sure if this article's been posted before but I came across it and all those who said the show resembled P+P were right!😛

What's it with Zee? Maayka, Dulhan and now Vivaah. It's a long wedding trip! The latest serial is based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The classic novel has been an inspiration for many films and serials including one called Trishna that was aired on Doordarshan 15 years ago. Vivaah, starting April 21 is about four sisters, Sujata, Trishna, Tania and Mansha. Predictably one is mature and responsible - that's Sujata, another is a strong-headed girl, Trishna while Tania is a bookworm, shy and an introvert and the last Mansha is a tomboy. With four daughters of marriageable age, mother Kulraj is worried about finding the perfect groom for them.There's the father Raj, content with what he has and Beeji, the grand mother who is close to her pothis.
