Disagree. I love the Naagin series, especially Seasons 1 and 3. I watched all the seasons but gave the last one a miss, since the concepts of 'toxic love-obsession' were too Gul Khan-y for me. 😆

The Naagin series can be really good at times (because of the storyline) but they mess it up at places with countless bloopers. Also yeah, the VFX is a big problem.

I only like Gul Khan-y type of heroes so that’s why I tried the show. Too bad I hated the heroine and couldn’t enjoy the chemistry. I was simply enjoying watching scenes of the hero only.

I agree with the bloopers and VFX. Makes it hard for me to completely enjoy the show because it looks so ridiculous.

ok I may be singing off tune, but do you know what I'm referring to?

I was obsessed with the initial episodes of Naagin 5 😍 Sharad killed it as the obsessive intense lover. The grey shades suited him. That first look at his heroine was just 🔥

Then the makers lost the plot, didn’t know what to do with a male lead who would never willingly hurt his love and the show went downhill pretty fast 💔

Same here! I love Dil Ibadat. The song and KK’s voice takes me to another world.

I never watched any versions of Naagin because I found the concept and effects ridiculous. However, I came across a fan-edit of the lead couple on youtube and it looked like there was obsessive love, toxic relationship, negative hero kinda themes and I’m like hell yeah.

Apart from the fact that I hate the actress and the magical elements/effects were so stupid - it made my brain hurt, I actually enjoyed the initial episodes but stopped watching midway. Sharad looked sexy AF and he ticked all the boxes for the type of anti-hero I love in my romance shows. If I could convince you to just watch the first 10 episodes, you’ll know why I got sucked in. It’s been a long time since I squealed into a pillow because the hero’s initial reaction to the heroine was so freaking good. Omg.

Why do you hate the heroine though? 🤔

She is pretty but I dislike her dialogue delivery. It was awful in Naagin 5. I really don’t know why she used to open her mouth like that 🤷‍♀️

I literally died seeing Sharad. He looked so amazing and the badass attitude was incredibly hot. I love obsessive romance themes so was already hooked even with Hina Khan and the Cheels short meeting. Though I agree, the story took a major downfall and so I stopped watching.

I don’t find the heroine pretty at all. Her mouth was huge and I couldn’t focus on anything else except for her lips and the way she weirdly mouthed out her dialogues. 😆

I never expected Sharad to look this good. Even in Kasam, he looked too bland and I never felt like watching any of his earlier shows. But in Naagin 5, as the badass hero, he outshone every other actor in the serial. It was amazing to crush over his transformation I am a sucker for obsessive romance too. Don’t know what is about it that I find so appealing. Real life mein I run miles away from such romeos 😆

I liked Surbhi because she lost a lot of weight and became svelte. But that awful dialogue delivery 🤔 I have no idea why she decided to mouth her dialogues that way. Maybe she thought it emphasised her big lips, but it looked terrible onscreen. Upar se her character Bani was such a snooty bitch that I just couldn’t root for her

I saw him last in Dulhan when he was literally a baby, so this look of his had me doing a triple take. I still remember the way he was staring at her when they first met, I actually felt butterflies in my stomach because it was intense AF 🦋🔥😂

Girl, same. All my novels and TV shows need to have an obsessive hero. In fact, now the books I read are so dark and twisted that the author has to give trigger warnings for all readers. Of course in real life, even a slightly jealous guy is an instant turn off for me. 😆

I’ve just never liked her, even in her other show. Her mouth and dialogue delivery pisses me off and I just can’t overlook it. Omg Bani was such a stuck up one-track minder bitch, I couldn’t buy the fact that he fell in love (and stayed in love) with her moody uptight ass.

Yaar, I swooned since the time Akash stared at Naageshwari. I was disappointed that he wasn’t carrying forward the show, but Sharad killed it with his Veeranshu portrayal ❤️ Even I felt butterflies in the staring scene and all the other times he would go close to her 😍

Lol, there was a Pride theme in July on the forum and I wrote a scary dark emperor who was a eunuch. It was good fun to pen such a twisted male character for the first time. Can you recommend some good books to me?

Haha, I loved her bubbly character much later in Ishqbaaz. Her initial scenes were epic cringe, especially that stupid dance with tongue out that the hero would fondly remember and that gobar wala scene 🤢

OHMYGOD YAS. 😍 I rewatched Akash and Naageshwari’s episode so many times! I so wish they did a spin off and focused on their story as well. I could feel the chemistry setting my TV on fire.

I can recommend a whole heap of books but can you tell me what level of dark/twisted you enjoy and if there are any triggers for you? That’ll help me narrow the list down.

I so wish that too! Never thought Hina Khan would look so good with Dheeraj Dhoopar Their chemistry was off the charts. Damn, I want such a show again, executed properly this time.

I only have one trigger - death of an animal. Baki sab theek hai 🤣
