I had watched Balika Vadhu and yes Shiv became an absolute favourite since the first day!

Now that I think back, they framed story really well, they white washed Jagdish with his redemption and karma, makers brought him another female lead (instead the EMA girl) and they were a beautiful couple. Anandi was happy in her new life with Shiv.

But the thing is the show revolves around Anandi. She was the priority of makers. In udariya, I don’t see any sign they would sideline Ankit and Isha to make PRI the priority 🤔 hence their lives will always be inter- twined 😒

I actually didn’t really like Jagdish’s story in BV. He was a product of chauvinism and he got away scot free in all honesty. He couldn’t take Gauri being more successful, and in the end he ended up marrying a nurse. Gauri was a vampish character but Jagdish was worse in my opinion. He just needed someone like his third wife to feed his ego. Less educated, less powerful, ghunghat wearing and food cooking types. His ego couldn’t take a wife who was smarter and had a life other than catering to his every need. But that’s my opinion.

I know that the show revolves around these three characters which is why at least Fateh and Tejo need to separate. Show us her growth and Fateh and Jasmine’s growth for that matter. In my eyes, Fateh is a bigger villain than Jasmine. He was the one who took vows with Tejo and he needs to be held accountable. Jasmine is only answerable to Tejo and not the Virks. I hate how she’s treated like a pariah but Fateh is still the laadla for everyone other than KSV. Let them be together and discover how different a committed and legal relationship is to a namesake romantic one. Why should Tejo only suffer?

What I fear and what happens in all the shows is that the man sheds a few tears and bas. Redemption done. Poor baby was easily captured by the villainous third woman. Look at Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti, Balika Vadhu, Anupama etc etc. Affair kare mard, and sazaa ho aurat ko. I absolutely loathe Shubhra’s character in KRMKB, I don’t even watch the show but even the updates or reels makes me want to slap her.
