Considering how rich and influential Nandini is , it would not be a difficult thing for her to dig out the family details without being disrespectful.

I agree that the way things have unfolded is little suspicious , and Kapoor's should have been more transparent , but Nandini can handle it better if she wants to , instead of insulting them.

Also I don’t like the way the Kapoor’s keep insulting Priya using Neeraj’s name. That is extremely mean of them. Even yesterday , Shubham said ‘Agaya aapka ex-lover “. What is this way of talking? How will the Kapoors feel if some guests character assassinate Shivina knowing how she eloped.. How will Ram and others feel , if someone from Priya’s family , react in a similar way seeing Vedika. 'Lo aa gayi apki dost+ ex-lover'. I know Vedika is decent while Neeraj is creepy. But they don’t have to insult Priya like this for that creep when she has clearly told she has no feelings for him and someone from Kapoor's should warn Neeraj to not do any further drama.

Yeah, it's like, I understand Nandini's concerns but also she's the one who chose to marry her son and daughter into this family that she knows nothing about which is honestly one of the most unrealistic things about this show so far. I think the prenup itself is not the worst idea, but as you said, the way that Nandini has been handling the situation is very distasteful and does not make sense for her character in my opinion. She's supposed to be cold and calculating, not loud and obnoxious.

And just from a legal standpoint, as far as I know, it is (1) illegal to coerce someone into signing a prenup (ie. what they're doing to Priya) and (2) it can't be one-side aka they can't just show up and present Priya with a prenup, she needs a lawyer present for her to sign it. Moreover, I believe both sides are to draft their own prenups with their respective lawyers and then discuss the terms so if somewhere down the line Ram and Priya are getting a divorce, Priya can absolutely bring up the fact that she couldn't afford a lawyer to look over the document and was forced to sign it. And at the end of the day, prenups are meant to protect the finances of both people involved and I know that the reason why Ekta and co. are not bothering to share the logistics is truly because the entire process is very boring for a TV show. A prenup discussion is basically a business transaction and it also involves any future finances of the couple (ex: how much money they would put towards a joint bank account versus their own, how to split property they choose to purchase together, and so much more). Like I said, not exactly entertainment material.
