SRK❤️...they dont make actors like him anymore.I thought ranbir would take his place but naa.Kajol and SRK can still create magic.DDLJ made me believe in love.Looked for it at all airports and train stations for a long time🤣

The book was even more boring.

The only Nicholas sparks stuff that didn’t put me to sleep was the last song.

Otherwise the story line is all too similar.

Also I think Indian movies are more relatable because of our culture.. so we relate to it. Some old movies have problematic movies elements as well but surely not all of them.

Clearly, in our culture, self sacrifice, letting go and putting needs of others over one’s own is called as love. Which is why a mom’s love is most revered here. We can see it easily in movies like KKHH, veer zaara, KHNH etc. There is this quality of simplicity and innocence. I think that quality is shown in Harry Potter books and movies as well - loyalty, love..

K Dramas - The guy almost always a jerk and rich with daddy or mommy issues all the time. The girl is always poor. 🤪

Western movies lack that kind of build up. They don’t have the nuance that Desis do. Even Pakistani dramas like ZGH & Humsafar are able to show romance with zero physical intimacy.
