Its not pointless. If you're blocked by someone you can't quote or tag that member. You can block someone with whom you don't want to engage in a conversation.

Once you know you've been blocked you have to be shameless enough to somehow still trying to get their attention. At that point you're just trolling if that member is not even bothering you.
