Yeah it is. Basically they are showing his obsession as the main problem, not fateh as a person. They also showed it how when jasso was manipulating him, he didn't wanna go her but he couldn't help it. Its like addiction. Blue Kohl was right... I'm not kidding, recently for some reason... Starting from Afghanistan, taliban and opium trade, I got into this issue. Rn USA is going through a whole epidemic of addiction, there is a channel which shows just how f* d up it can be. Fateh resembles one of those people. There's a striking similarity.

And that makes me feel bad for him, but then I remember he screwed my baby's life.
