After watching today's episode, I'm sure he did. He has smarter ways of dealing with people like Vanraj, and he did in terms of the way he announce the trip.

I like that he isn't petty and that Anupama saw through Vanraj's scheming again.

Anuj haar kar bhi jeet gaya. Baazigar ban gaya.

I am loving his character.

Considering all the 90's songs they are playing on him and anu, they should have played baazigar song after he let vanraj win 😆

They won't make it so in-your-face. He has to prove he has all the qualities of being sundar, susheel, sanskaari, in order for people to accept Anupama marrying him. There are many in the audience who won't accept her remarriage for various reasons, so his character has to be so compelling that people are encourage (read forced) to consider him as her Mr. Right.

If Anuj genuinely lost the arm wrestling with Vanraj, that is totally okay. He doesn’t have to win every battle.

But if Anuj did deliberately lose the arm wrestling because he sensed Anupama’s discomfort or because he sensed the tenseness in the air, I would not label that as being manipulative but would chalk it down to his being a good host and a good human, someone who doesn’t set much store on winning or losing silly arm wrestling games to satisfy one’s vain ego like Vanraj.

Either way, purposefully losing or not, Anuj still shone through as the better man.
