I would like it more if he genuinely lost the arm wrestling.

That would show many interesting points from his character POV.

1. Unlike a certain Ravanraj, he definitely understands that he can not win everything. He is just a human being and not the center of the universe.

2. He is not that physically strong. I don't know why but I am actually not much attracted towards the physically strong types. I prefer mentally and emotionally balanced people actually. (Bonus points for intellectually stimulating conversationalist )

3. Some thing about loosing on purpose seems a little bit manipulative to me. an thus making Vanraj important enough to be pampered by Anuj. Maybe in future Anuj can try the "maska lagana" trick. But now it feels too early.

4. Just imagine the contrast it shows: Vanraj on one side who takes every defeat personally while they show Anuj who cheerfully accepts his defeat and maybe even praises his opponent wholeheartedly. Anupama and everyone can see how different this person compared to the petty Vanraj

5. It also would be a little progressive to show that Anupama get together with a human complete with certain ups and downs rather than a fully perfect god-like prince charming.

6. And it can also be against toxic masculinity by showing that man need to win every match to prove them worthy of their title "Man"

I would actually love for it to go this way and I absolutely love the reasons you’ve listed... they make Anuj more human and even more lovable...

Absolutely agree that writers need not promote toxic masculinity. Anuj is a normal guy who could genuinely lose an arm wrestling match because vanraj is stronger than him.

Anuj need not be physically stronger to be the perfect partner for Anupama. I’m sure that he has it in him to accept defeat gracefully.

What most of us don’t want to see is how much this would inflate Vanraj’s ego. I just like to see that ego crushed in whatever way!

Anuj is a person who will mind games with these people let these people loose by their own ego and their stupidity.

I knew Just by looking at the precap yesterday that Anuj is gonna loose (without knowing about SBS).

Cause it's what smart people do. They make their enemies feel like they belong somewhere. Smart people play such tricks to avoid severe damage done by their enemie's grudges. Sometimes they need to deal with such pettiness with little mind games like these. And he knows very well that all vanraj cares about is proving everyone that he's better than anuj 🤔
