Toshu is a regressive control freak like Vanraj. He dares to lay down the law for his mother like she has no agency of her own. Why? Cos she is a woman? Or because he sees her as good for nothing except as a slave of the Shah household?
If Toshu does have misplaced concern for his mother as someone suggested, he should be voicing them to his mother and not dare make decisions for her like it is his god given right.
Toshu doesn’t just need a slap or two, he needs to be kicked in his shins and have some sense shaken into him.
