Hum Tum.
I am still confused on how Bunny and Naina in YJHD bond/fall in love? That movie was so long yet revealed close to nothing about their bond. And the best part is...the movie was supposed to be even longer. Brilliant 😃
Yeah, Bunny and Naina’s love story wasn’t as appealing. I don’t know when they fell in love either. Just remember them talking on a hill one night and then Deepika giving him moon eyes because he finally got her out of her shell 🤷♀️ It was a nice connection but not enough to hold a candle for this person for years.
Hum Tum had a far better and more believable character and relationship progression ♥️

@bold - 😆!!!
I agree. Maybe I need to rewatch the movie and understand. The connection was nice but after a year or two, Bunny would've definitely been like "see ya! I'm off to Europe!"

Except the beautiful songs and Deepika’s blue saree ( which gave me OCD because I thought she tied it precariously so low that I was concerned kahi dhoti khul na jaaye through out that song 😆), I don’t remember much of the movie.
On the other hand, I remember each and every scene from Hum Tum and how they gradually fell in love. Saif and KK’s funny dialogs. more importantly, Abhi’s cameo 😆
YJHD for me, although neither are in my list of favorites(they are weird btw)
Sirf hum tum dekhi hai. Bakwaas movie.

The songs were so nice!!! and Deepika's outfits looked amazing. I was also into the movie because of ARK 😳

Somehow ARK comes across as a sleepy guy so never really paid attention to him. Ranbir was really dreamy in the movie and best of the entire cast. I like Kalki next. DP’s outfits were good. There were so many dupes of that blue sari which flooded the market that I had to purposefully steer clear of buying it.
Hum Tum.
I know YJHD is very popular but it wasn't even close to the movie Ayaan wanted it to be and it showed. He wanted one of those coming of age movies that was still fun but he Kjo-fied it so much that there wasn't much depth to anything, any relationship or character. Nothing felt like an authentic, complete journey of a character. They all seemed like caricatures to me.

This!
YJHD is wildly overrated, and the soundtrack is the only reason that movie isn't a total bust.
