YJHD is wildly overrated, and the soundtrack is the only reason that movie isn't a total bust.

The movie had potential. In Kjo standard, the movie is as complex as any Oscar movie. In Ayaan standard though, this movie is a slightly better than SOTY. I just had so many questions.

1. Why did Naina, the samajhdaar girl fall in love with Bunny in 2 days? -- I guess because he was supposed to be hot and as a declared "unattractive nerd" (because you know glasses and modest plain clothing = ugly in Kjo/Yrf world) attention and flattery from a hot male must've stuck with her. I would've been fine with it if they had called it a crush. But nope it was pyaar. Naina had fallen in love with Bunny, and just like most pyaar she was totally okay and had moved on until spending two days with him again awoke that deep pyaar again.

2. Ayaan said he had to cut Adi's character short and his story was supposed to be more important. Good thing he at least realized it because within the context of the movie Adi and Ranbir's relationship really wasn't that freaking deep (like everything else in the movie). I never felt Ranbir needed to be there by his side for the rest of his life, sure the way he left seemed rude. Most of us lose touch with close friends after school. Why did Ranbir pursuing his own dream feel like such a betrayal? I saw no depth in that friendship other than one song and one train ride. And those were spent establishing not the their deep lifelong friendship but showing us they are both young h0rny boys.

3. The movie was about supposed to be about all 4 of them. I don't know what Adi's struggle was beside drinking and failing at life. Why was he failing? What was that dude's problem? Dude who are your parents? What was the solution at the end beside Ranbir giving him money(?) Can't remember. Kalki's character had potential. It revolved around being in love with Adi and realizing it was not going to happen and he was not who she needed. But they should've been explored.

I have seen Hum Tum dozens of times and always love to watch it. One of the best rom coms of the 2000s.

YJHD I have only seen once and even then I kept wondering why it isn't over yet.

Hum Tum is probably the best urban rom-com according to most people. Don't think any film can win over it.

Bhai you are expecting a lot from a film where the girl wears jacket and mini skirt while trekking in cold and becomes hot after she removes her specs🤣

It’s a tie

In my mind Their both really good or equally weak. 😆 So it’s same to same.

The only film as a mainstream hero in a commercial hit for RK. Only 1 in his career!

It was a fluke!

Not surprised at the way his career went down
