Some brilliant writing in the bedroom scene today where Raghav tells her that the beast in him is still alive and that he himself is afraid of it being unleashed.
It shows that his core is still the same and justifies him behaving like this and going forward too. What I mean to say is that in most ITV shows the ML starts to misbehave and do weird things that are totally out of character just to create conflict and misunderstandings but in this show Raghav acting out won't seem off the mark because we've seen and known this side of him.
We are back to the essence of Beauty and the Beast, but this time, they showed through Amruta how Beauty actually needs to end up. She learned the hard way and through life experiences that things aren't always wrong or right. She knows what Farhad is involved in and gets him to start thinking about his stance on the illegal business by appealing to his better angels, where we previously saw him being as convinced as Raghav about their business methods. She planted the seed in Farhad's mind and it will take shape eventually. This is far more effective than what Pallavi is now doing through her shock therapy.
While I hated what Motwani did, I felt bad seeing Raghav being humiliated and made to feel inadequate as a provider. That poked his deep-seated fears and insecurities about failing to provide the basic amenities in life that he saw his father struggle with, as well as being labeled as a man who deprived his wife of comforts Raghav's spouse would be expected to have, which is FAR from the truth. It was brilliantly done through Motwani's dialogues and later Raghav's but clearly Pallavi doesn't understand what she's getting them all into. She's also taking an extreme approach. Showing Raghav that you can earn money through legal means is fine but that doesn't mean living a very basic lifestyle necessarily. You can be well off through legal means and still enjoy the good life is the message that she needs to arrive at, and this is where her approach is falling through the cracks.
I can go on and on about the amazing layers in today's episode. Gave me a lot to think about.
