On another note, I hope Anupama starts thinking about herself. There is nothing wrong in thinking of a life with someone for herself. As Devika had said rightly, she is single and it is no one’s business to say anything to her. She has full rights to do whatever she wants with her life.

of course Anu has total rights to do what she wants with her life but she needs to be very firm and not let her confidence falter.

Anuj is going to keep his feelings to himself cause he knows it will hinder Anu’s life at work and their professional set up will be disturbed.

Anupama thinks what she said clearly she don't love her self that much that she will think someone like anuj will love her also she said the same thing regarding making it clear it's just too much has happened in her life now she don't want any other Angle except work and get sucess for herself. She just got too much over boarded with the surrounding what has happened she don't even want anuj to think also that way though she said that also aapka dil saaf hain janti hoon lekin auron ka nahi hoga . Anupama has low self esteem when it comes to her looks and personality. She doesnt think that a handsome and cool looking dude like Anuj would even think of a auntyji kinda woman like her. I’m apprehensive about this too... drama toh hoga kuch na kuch type ka but hope they introduce their love angle gradually and hope its Anu who unconciously falls for the guy Anuj is- a complete opposite of the gadha Vanraj

I think Anupama went overboard in actually going ahead and telling Anuj to strictly keep it professional and that there is no scope for anything between them. It was a bit too much since as of now, Anuj has never directly admitted or hinted that he had/has feelings for Anupama. He has always only referred to her as his friend and has been polite.

All of Anupama's fears and worries are because of her toxic family. But saying these things to your new business partner on your first day can make your working relationship weird! I found the dialouge and her way of saying it off but guess that was needed to add the whole drama to the scene... I dont think it was rude and I get why she was comfortable saying without having to worry that Anuj would mind... she subconsciously expects Anuj to understand where she is coming from and accept her for who she is with her family baggage.

Yes initially I didnt quite like the way she said that whole thing about keeping it professional but like you said she is somewhere very much settled into the idea of a friendly bond with Anuj. She initiated the handshake and was upbeat about working with him, this kinda camaraderie only comes when someone is comfortable and trusts the other person

true.. she isnt realising it yet but she is already very comfortable with Anuj and knows that he only has her best interests at heart. She feels safe in the friendship and doesnt shy from sticking up for him in front of the idiots questioning their relationship

Sadly the way marriages are portrayed in desi shows is regressive. They make such a big fuss about the hurdles faced in getting married but once they are married, companionship is hardly shown and they jump straight to starting a family.

She is disbelieving of Devika but also worried at the crap her family has told her, so she decides to be blunt and tell him her expectations from the get go. Given that he is her classmate/friend, nothing wrong in being upfront. Anuj will be extra careful to mask his feelings now and it will be good if Anupama starts developing feelings for Anuj without being aware of the depth of his regard for her.

The Constand labelling LOSER has made her lose several things. her self esteem is low. There was a phase whenever she had to reassure herself she would give her plait a tug and break into an enigmatic smile.

The opportunity she gets to inspire other women, rekindle hope in their hearts that all is well. The respect the concept will get will make her glow leading to the shah's fuming.
