O yes I saw this video yesterday. Jammy's take on this was very good. I was very young when the Bengali version of this show was aired. I don't remember much watching it, but I knew the opening title track of the show. My grandmothers were so invested in this show.
My mother used to watch Imlie and GHKKPM but stopped watching because of how problematic it was. Malini was such a good Character but the show was in the name of Imlie, so they had to do Bechari Imlie and vamp Malini. Aditya being the "man", gets out of any problem. In ghum, I think everyone just wake up and tick their to-do list of belittling Sai.
I also saw one comment of IPZN and other shows about how they have good storyline and plot but they have to be changed in between because of trp and Indian audiences are fed so much with these problematic plots that they can't enjoy good shows.
The young minds are filled with these lies and problems and it's been from the ages. If change has to be brought, it would be very difficult. Not impossible but very difficult.

By the way there was another tv show with tow wives - sajan ghar jaana hai. Where he’s actually in love with the first wife he had an arranged marriage with - but she gets thrown out by her in laws because someone accuses them of not being Brahmins. He’s forced to have a second wife (to save his sister’s marriage… marries his BIL’s silly sister; and his first wife forced him literally) the first wife becomes a veiled servant in their home and they enjoy clandestine meetings 😆
Actually even I didn't like it in the first ep, it was very negative and all. But as it progessed and became lighter and more fun, I began liking it more

I am still upset about AVM getting off easily from torturing Ishqi for six months and then throwing her out of the house even after all those promises he made. Should i be thankful instead?😒
