Breaking Point

We reach a stage when we feel we have had enough. We decide to move away or lash out. Anupamas out burst this week was precisely that. The partnership offer was an opportunity she least expected. Before it could sink in began the four pronged caustic attack of her character.

She never expected Vanraj would have the gumption to stoop so low. Baa and P1 she least expected would question matters she was clueless about.

Their words reverberating in her mind she expresses herself through the dance.

Devika lashing out in her inimitable style andrefuseing to back off till she drove some sense, becomes a reminder to fight her battle. She returns home after sending her supporters and detractors sweets in her own measured way.

By resisting the onslaught andreminding her tormentor for decades to control his tone she announced she is her own mistress now.

Jo aaj Vanraaj ki itni himmat badi hai wo Anupama ke behaviour ke kaaran hi hai. Agar divorce ke baad se hi ye clear karti to aaj aaisa naa hota. That man has guts to take papers away from her wo to Anu ne hata liye papers varna phad bhi deta. 😡😡And why Anupaama has sent sweets to Anuj😆Kaash phone karke sab kuch bata de usko bhi.

And Baa that lady no words🤢Even Pakhi is happy for her mother kuch bola nahi usne abhi tak but her expressions says ki wo khush hai ye offer ke liye.

Perfectly drafted this week sequence for Anupama. I just started to watch this show. So I may not be able to write much about what all she has faced in her past. But looking at everyone's expressions and dialogue, I an say that they must have created hell for her and there are a few people (relations) she has which might have supported her in one or the other matter.

The flashbacks that were shown, it was evident that she was so scared and had no worth in front of her husband (abusive).

This is the time that she needs to lash out things and say aloud that what she wants, how she feels.

But as usually as always, I say that you write very well and I may not put all my thoughts as you do. So bear with me.

Well said! Anu has now reached a point where she's even daring to think to put herself before everyone else. Though I know this was long due and we all anticipated it, I found the build up to breaking point a bit patchy. Her assertion lacked consistency.

When Devika said she'll be inspiring many in her situation who want to break the shackles of society and progress in life, I knew that would affect Anu the most, that's how she is, thinks of the greater good.

I just hope now that she's taken a step forward to grow as a person, she stands firm on her ground and doesnt let her new found confidence waver on every little taunt she's subjected to. She'll of course react strongly to it and it will puncture her conviction but she needs to block all negativity and keep her eyes glued to her goal.

Easier said than done, I know there'll be plenty of drama and unexpected twists added to the story to keep the numbers department happy and I don't mind that as long it's not all nonsense.

This is the saturation point in Anupama’s character. She has tolerated almost every torture (almost because no physical abuse other than house work) in the book in the hands of her husband now ex, MIL and children. Her SIL is changed now but initially she was also not behind.

I am glad that the woman in her waking up from her long slumber. She still has a long way to go. I myself was a homemaker for almost 15 years. I totally understand her mindset. It does not happen overnight. It takes a bomb to break that mindset. I had my bomb few years back. Hers is still need to be dropped. The character assassination was a mild reminder of what her ex in-laws are capable of. She has to learn to stop caring and let them rot in their own hell. I can not wait for her to move out and be a queen in her own space.

PS. Toshu never disappoints. He will always be a MCP. No matter what. I knew it was all an emotional drama on Independence Day for asking for her forgiveness.

I'd argue that Anu has been subjected to physical abuse too. Anu, despite being timid, expressed that she didn't want a 3rd pregnancy. But Vanraj made her go through that only because he wanted a daughter. God knows if he had insisted for a 4th if Pakhi was born a male. Mentally controlling a woman to the point of putting her through the extremely painful experience of pregnancy+delivery+recovery.. That sounds pretty abusive.

I agree. By physical abuse I meant beating and all. Yes the things you mention are also part of physical abuse but still a mother can not hate her child even if it is born without her consent. She seems to love Pakhi so much. Her mindset is the biggest hurdle in her progress. She needs to differentiate between her love for the family and staking her self respect every d**time for that same family.

Physical abuse can also be going menacingly towards the person, shaking her, raising hands but not hitting it creates the same psycho social fear.

After cancer recovery she has one more added to be fed and jillmil has been missing since then.

When she was dragged and locked out of the house, the way she crouches in the corner of the garden one .. . Are no less than beating.

It can also be termed as martial rape when a wife is not willing but forced by husband .

Anyway it look like vanraj only used Anu for his physical need till he dint met kavya .
